3 Prepare the New Server Special note for migrations Have all drives on original server that contain QlikView Documents (such as a data drive) replicated in the target server. Have all folders on original server found in C:\Programdata\QlikTech available for copy of documents and log files to the target server. 4 QlikView Publisher QlikView Publisher is an additional licensed module of QlikView Server. It is installed by applying a license to a QlikView Server. 5 recommending customers upgrade to a supported version. As a consequence of this, Qlik will be limiting support of older IE versions. If there are issues specifically related to IE versions that are not supported by Microsoft, support in the form of bug fixes and patches will be highly limited. More details from Microsoft can be found here: Limitations of the Amount of Data to be Loaded The amount of data that can be loaded into a QlikView document is very large. It is primarily limited by the amount of primary memory of the computer. However, there is one inherent limitation in QlikView that you must be aware of when building very large documents: A QlikView document cannot have more than 2,147,483,648 distinct values in one field. The number of fields and tables as well as the number of table cells and table rows that can be loaded, is limited only by RAM. Create your Qlik Single Sign-On account to gain access to the Qlik download center and other valuable resources that will help you get the most out of your investment. Download your software here Qlik Downloads. 2. If you have trouble downloading your software, or are not sure which version or application to choose, reach out to support@ipc-global.com for assistance. We will work with you and your IPC Global Project Manager to get the software you need by one of these methods: 3. Connect to IPC Global s sftp site to download software. Credentials will be forwarded to a designated team member. 4. Determine an alternate method to receive the file transfer. Create a Local Admin account that will run QlikView services, this account must have local admin privileges and be granted read access to the desired datasources. A domain account is preferable. Create an ODBC/OLEDB connection to the datasources that will be used in developing applications. Prepare a list of users who will be assigned a license and have it available day of install. For remote installs, ensure GoToMeeting desktop client is installed on either the server or the local machine that will connect to the target server. If this is not possible, contact your IPC Global Project Manager to make other arrangements. On the Install date 1) Installation is done by logging on to the server. Someone with the ability to log in is required. 2) If doing an install via a web meeting, have your Server Admin or someone with knowledge of the server admin account available to enter the username and password during setup and for a single restart during install. 3) Have the license information that was forwarded by Qlik available. If you do not have this information, contact support@ipc-global.com, we will have it available for the install. Please keep the information with your license records. 4) If there is no access to the web from the target server, a copy of the LEF (License Enabler File) will be needed to copy/paste for license activation.
