3 Introduction Thank you for your purchase of HULFT product. This document describes how to download your product and obtain a product key. HULFT products can be purchased in two ways: download purchase and media purchase. If you made a download purchase, then you must download your product. Please read the following before installing your product. Serial No.& SP Code Notification Product Download Page The Serial No.& SP Code Notification is needed for both of the following: * Product download * Obtaining a product key Product Key Issue Page The Serial No. & SP Code Notification After we have received and registered your order, your Serial No.& SP Code Notification is sent to you. 5 2.1 HULFT.com Website 2. Downloading Your Product Click the [Downloading HULFT7e] About HULFT.com Website Type ' into your browser's address bar. Click the [English] in the upper right of the page. The screen above appears. Click the [Downloading HULFT7e] to display HULFT7e page. The following environment is recommended for using HULFT Customer Support page: Browser * Internet Explorer 6 or higher * Firefox 2 or higher Browser settings * Flash Player Ver or higher * JavaScript enabled * Cookies enabled * Support for SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) * Browser language set to English 4-HUL7e- * Configure your browser to always check whether a page stored in your temporary Internet files (cache) is the latest version. Downloading Your Product Select the file type Click to begin your download Check the version before downloading Input Items for Download in Step 2 Download Click the [Download] to display the Download File dialog box. Save the file to the folder of your choosing. Version Confirm the version that you wish to download. Type 'iso', 'zip', or 'tar' will appear, depending on the product that you purchased. Select the version that is most compatible with your environment. If you selected an 'iso' file in preparation for installation, then you will need to copy the data to a CD-R. If you selected a 'zip' or 'tar' file, then you must uncompress the file using a software program or the command line. [ 6 ]

10 3.3 Step 2-1: Enter Information 3. Obtaining a Product Key Make sure that the displayed information is correct Mark the check box of the license for which you wish to obtain a product key Input Items for Entering Information in Step 2-1 Choice The 'License', 'Option', and 'Revision' linked to the serial number and SP code entered on the previous screen are displayed. Select the license of the product you wish to install. * PK = Product Key [ 9 ]

11 3.4 Step 2-2: Enter Information 3. Obtaining a Product Key Select OS category and OS detail Enter the name of the host on which the product will be installed Input Items for Entering Information in Step 2-2 OS From the pulldown menu, select the category (Required) and detail of the operating system on which the product will be installed. Installation Host Enter the name of the host on which the product name will be installed (for i5/os, this is the system name). (Required) You can enter up to 68 single-byte numbers and letters. Host names longer than 68 characters will be truncated to the first 68 characters. The product cannot be installed if the host name is not entered correctly. Please refer to "4. Host Names" for details about host names. If you change the host name, you must issue a new product key and install the product again. [ 10 ]

Obtaining a Product Key 3.5 Step 2-2: Enter Information (Continued) Enter the address where the product will be installed Enter the name of the hardware vendor Enter the name of the clustering software Enter the database name Input Items for Entering Information in Step 2-2 Installation place Enter the address where the installation computer (Required) is located. The ZIP/postal code must be no more than 20 single-byte letters, numbers, hyphens ('-') and periods ('.'). Up to 100 bytes of text can be entered into each address field. Hardware Maker From the pulldown menu, select the hardware Name vendor for the computer on which the product will be installed. Cluster Software If you are using clustering software, select the Name name of the software from the pulldown menu. DataBase Name If you are using a database, select the name of the database from the pulldown menu. If you selected 'Other' in the pulldown menu, enter the appropriate information in the input field. Check Box After you have read the License Agreement, if you agree to its terms then mark the 'I Agree' check box. Obtain Product Key Make sure that you have marked the 'I Agree' check box and that there are no errors in the information you have entered, then click the [Issue Product Key] to obtain a product key. Please print out this page and store your product key in a secure place. If you lose your product key, you can obtain a new one any number of times by following the procedure above. [ 13 ]

15 4. Host Names 4.1 What Is a Host Name? The installation host name will differ depending on the type of computer, as follows: Windows UNIX/Linux OS/400 General-purpose machine The TCPIP host name without the domain name Node name System name In HULFT system operating environment settings, the domain name specified under 'DOMAIN' If nothing is specified for 'DOMAIN', then use the host name specified under 'HOST' 4.2 Finding out Your Host Name Windows UNIX/Linux OS/400 General-purpose machine The host name is displayed automatically by HULFT installer. You can also check your host name from the command prompt, by typing hostname command. The host name is displayed automatically by HULFT installer.
