1 Confused about compressed files, zipped files, unzip software, file extractions... etc., etc., etc.? Our products all come with a simple, easy follow Wizard for installing the designs to your computer without the need for installation or extraction software. You don't need to be an expert computer user - just follow a few simple instructions and the designs are ready to use. The installation Wizard does all the work! This page and the following pages preview the process step by step. The first screen is the welcome screen. It shows the product name, number of designs included, information on "Notes", etc.

2 This screen is the License Agreement, which describes Copyright Issues and Terms of Use. Click "Agree" to proceed. If you choose "Disagree" the installation will be terminated.

3 This is the screen where the embroidery format is chosen. Click on the button next to the appropriate format choice.

4 Verify your format selection before proceeding. Click on "Back" if you have chosen the wrong format and make another selection.

5 For individual letters or complete Monogram Sets, there are three Destination Location options. Install files to 3.5" diskettes is the default option. To select one of the other options click on the button next to it. If you are installing one of our CD products, the Destination Location screen will only show two options - "Store on C:" and "Select Location". The Wizard creates a folder called "" and sub-folder for the CD title.

6 Choose this option to store designs on your harddrive (C:). The Wizard will automatically create a folder called "", and a sub-folder for the name of the style. It will then put the individual embroidery files in that sub-folder in the format chosen previously.

7 This option allows you to store the designs in another location on your computer (e.g. CD-RW drive, Zip Drive, etc.) You might also choose this option if you already have a favorite folder for your embroidery designs.

8 The installation of the files begins, and shows a progress bar with a percentage of completion. If you are installing from a packaged product provided on 3.5" diskettes, you will be prompted to remove Disk 1 and insert Disk 2, etc. if more than one installation diskette is involved. Depending on the embroidery format chosen, it is not unusual fo the wizard to skip one of the installation diskettes.

9 This screen displays the "Notes" - design sizes, sewing sequences, letter filenames, etc. The "Notes" are saved as a.txt file in the same location as the designs. You can print them now if you wish by clicking on the white square. Tip: Our designs do not require that a specific thread color be used - many tradtional styles would typically be sewn tone-on-tone.

10 If you selected the option to install designs to 3.5" diskettes you will see this screen following the "Notes" screen. It prompts you to remove the installation disk, and to insert your own blank diskette(s). The Wizard calculates how many blank diskettes you will need - most styles will require only one diskette. Click "Next" to complete the installation.

11 This is the final screen. The designs have been successfully installed!
