1 Quick Start Guide RoadsideConnect Web App Agero s all new RoadsideConnect web app dispatching solution puts enhanced dispatch capabilities and pertinent service details right in your web browser. Through web optimized app, dispatchers have the capability to quickly receive accurate dispatch offers, view driver status, assign/cancel jobs and share up-to-the-minute status updates directly with customers and Agero. As you ll see in this Quick Start Guide, we ve designed the RoadsideConnect web app to be simple to navigate through, with smart features built around your needs. Questions or Feedback? 3 Creating Dispatcher User Roles Before you begin, the person with the Owner role must go to the Account Management section of AgeroSupport ( and set up the Dispatchers. The Owner, Manager, and Dispatcher roles have permission to manage dispatches via the RoadsideConnect web app. The RoadsideConnect web app is for dispatch management only and is not available for Driver, Accountant and Staff user roles. Logging In To log in to the RoadsideConnect web app, go to and sign in using your AgeroSupport username and password. Please use only Google Chrome or Safari browsers the application is not currently supported on Internet Explorer and Firefox. 3 of 15
4 Terms of Service and Privacy Policy Please take a moment to review and accept the Agero RoadsideConnect Terms of Service & Privacy Policy before using the application. Creating a Profile If you re logging into the RoadsideConnect web app for the first time, you must create a profile. This information will be used to notify you of new features, software updates, scheduled maintenance and other issues. You ll be able to bypass this step if you ve already created a profile on the RoadsideConnect mobile app. 4 of 15
5 RoadsideConnect Legend New Job Available Driver Tow-To Location Navigating the Website You can easily access your current Agero dispatches by clicking on the Jobs section of the main navigation tab. You can opt to view all jobs or use one of the filters to focus on new, unassigned, or active jobs. Click on the Drivers section to see a list of all of the drivers available to be assigned to a job. Select any profile and the map will immediately locate the user and center on their current location (as long as they have the GPS setting on their mobile device turned ON). Click on the History section to open a summary of jobs that have been completed. Simply click on the day and a list of all jobs including details will be presented. Dispatch Facility Unassigned Disablement Location Assigned Driver In Route On Scene Tow In Progress Destination Arrival Managing New Job Offers from Agero An Agero notification will pop up on your desktop and sound a chime when you re being offered a new digital dispatch. 5 of 15
6 Managing New Job Offers from Agero (cont d) Click on the notification to open the new job summary or click on the new tab under the Jobs menu and select the New Job. Here you can review all details, edit the ETA by clicking + or symbols, and accept or refuse the job. You ll have 4 minutes to respond before the offer times out. You also have the option to add an additional minute by clicking on the plus sign in the countdown timer. The map will immediately center on the location of the new job, and will also display the current location of your drivers and other Agero jobs that are within the vicinity of the disablement location. Your drivers will need to have the RoadsideConnect mobile app installed on their mobile device, and will need to keep the GPS feature turned ON in order for you to see them on the map. Note: If you do not respond to the job offer before it times out, an Agero agent will attempt to reach you by phone. 6 of 15
7 Managing New Job Offers from Agero (cont d) Update the ETA and click on the Accept button. If you submit an ETA greater than 1 hour and 30 minutes, you ll be prompted to report any special circumstance in your area contributing to the extended ETA. You can also choose Refuse to indicate you are unable to accept the job offer. You ll then be prompted to report the reason why you re unable to accept the job offer. 7 of 15
8 Managing New Job Offers from Agero (cont d) You ll be notified via the RoadsideConnect web app once Agero approves the submitted ETA and issues a PO# for the service. Agero will also send the same notification when a dispatch job offer has been accepted via a telephone call from an Agero agent. Assigning a Job to a Driver Assign a driver by clicking on the Agero Approved Job notification or by going to the unassigned tab under the Jobs menu. Click on the Assign Driver button to open a list of your drivers. 8 of 15
9 Assigning a Job to a Driver (cont d) The map will immediately center on the location of the unassigned job and will also display the current location of your drivers and other Agero jobs that are within the vicinity of the disablement location. Your drivers need to have the app installed on their mobile device and need to keep the GPS feature turned ON in order for you to see them on the map. Select the driver s name on the list and click on the Assign button to assign them the job. The assigned driver will receive the job assignment via the integrated RoadsideConnect mobile app. The driver can report back to the dispatcher via their mobile app when they are In Route and On Scene with the customer, and when the vehicle has been delivered to the tow destination. Once the service has been completed, the driver can indicate their availability for a new job assignment by selecting Job Cleared. The mobile app even includes a hands-free auto status update feature when GPS is turned ON. 9 of 15
10 Updating Status and Reassigning a Job to a Driver Active Jobs: The job will now appear under the Active tab for tracking while it is still in progress. If the driver is not GPS enabled, the dispatcher can update the job status directly through their RoadsideConnect web app, by clicking Update Status. The Dispatcher can also reassign this job to a different driver by clicking on the Reassign Driver button. Once reassigned, the previous driver will receive a Stop! Job Reassigned notification and the new driver will receive a Job Assignment notification. 10 of 15
11 Reporting Unsuccessful and Cancelled Jobs In the event the service cannot be completed, the dispatcher can report an Unsuccessful Attempt/GOA or Cancelled status. This will prompt a callback from an Agero agent to the dispatch office number to review and confirm details. Viewing Completed Jobs You can access previously completed jobs in the History tab. Simply select the date and click each job to view more detailed information. 11 of 15
12 Printing Job Details A job summary report can be printed for your records for any job listed in the Jobs or History lists by clicking on the printer icon. Using Map Tools You can zoom in and out using the zoom buttons to focus on a job, driver, or a broader area. You can also use the filtering buttons to view only driver s locations or the driver, job disablement and tow destination locations all at once. The information button will provide an icon legend for your convenience. Profile, General Content and Log Out Click on the down arrow next to your login name to edit your profile information, review the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy or to log out. Once you log out, you ll no longer receive edispatched job offers via the RoadsideConnect web app. 12 of 15
13 Creating a Shortcut Icon on Your Desktop 1. Open your web browser. Agero recommends using Google Chrome in order to provide the best experience in RoadsideConnect. The remaining steps assume you are using Google Chrome and align with version 43.0 of that browser. If you are using another browser on your computer, there may be similar capabilities but the steps may be different! 2. Access Agero s RoadsideConnect by entering the URL/address ageroroadsideconnect.com/. 3. The page will load to the login screen. 13 of 15
14 Creating a Shortcut Icon on Your Desktop (cont d) 4. Open the Google Chrome menu and select More tools and then Add to taskbar from the submenu. 5. You will be prompted to edit the caption for the icon, but his is not needed. If you would like the icon to open Roadside Connect into a separate window, check the Open as window. Desktop: an icon with the caption RoadsideConnect will be placed on the Windows desktop. Taskbar: an icon will be placed on the Windows taskbar and can be accessed with a single mouse click. Start Menu: an icon with the caption RoadsideConnect will be added to the Windows Start menu. (Note: this option will not be available on Windows 8 computers). 14 of 15
15 Creating a Shortcut Icon on Your Desktop (cont d) 6. You can choose to add any or all of these icons. Click Add to add the RoadsideConnect icon to your taskbar. 7. Verify the icon are created: On the Taskbar: Notes: Once created, launching RoadsideConnect using the taskbar con will open the application in a window that does not have the traditional web browser controls (Back, bookmarks, search box, etc.) RoadsideConnect is nevertheless fully functional and the removal of these browser controls leaves more room for the RoadsideConnect map, job lists and notifications.
