1 HMI-Advanced ( ) for PCU FC5253-7BX10-3AG Installation on PCU 50.3: HMI-Advanced software V07.03 SP3 is a full version. Before you can install this software version, you require a PCU 50.3 with already installed PCU Base software WinXP V (or later). To operate this software on 840D sl with NCU-SW 2.4 SP1, we recommend that you upgrade the PCU Base software to V08.01 SP3. Existing HMI-Advanced software versions V7.x which have already been delivered can be upgraded to V7.3 SP3. HMI-Advanced includes all texts in the 5 European standard languages including "simplified Chinese". The Help for setting and machine data is generally available in German and English only. The HMI-Advanced software comprises ready-to-install standard cycles (technology cycles) V and measuring cycles V These are available as archives in the directory Archives / cycle archives. Here you can also find the files SIEMENSD.ARC resp. SIEMENSE.ARC (located under Services, can be read using the editor) which include the for standard cycles resp. measuring cycles. The HMI-Advanced software includes the Acrobat Reader V4 which is used for the Help function. Installation of Acrobat Reader V5 or higher will result in the Help function of the Start-Up Tool to become unsuitable. Please note the documentation "HMI Advanced Start-up (IM4)" on the delivered DVD. Notes on how to install the HMI-Advanced software: A possibly already existing HMI softgware 6.x should be deinstalled, as otherwise HMI-Advanced software 7.3 SP3 will automatically be configured for operation with 840D powerline. Data management as well as all files in directories F:\user, F:\add_on, F:\oem can be maintained. In F:\user\mmc.ini, a possibly existing section [NCU840D] must be deleted completely or commented out. Installation of the HMI-Advanced software: During the runup of the PCU 50.3, branch into the XP desktop (press the key 3 when the PCU Base software version is displayed at the bottom right) and establish a network connection to your PC / PG using the delivered DVD. Copy the HMI-Advanced software from the delivered DVD on the PCU 50.3 to D:\Install so that the setup.exe of the HMI-Advanced software is directly stored to D:\Install. The software will then be installed automatically when rebooting the PCU The installation version solution line will then be requested, i.e. operation on SINUMERIK 840D sl NCU7x0 resp. SINUMERIK 840Di sl, or powerline, i.e. operation on SINUMERIK 810D powerline or 840D powerline. Important: The installation variant (powerline <-> solution line) can only be changed by deinstalling and reinstalling the HMI-Advanced software. The NC access parameters in mmc.ini, Section [NCU840D] can only be changed in laboratory mode. Alternatively, you can call up the setup.exe of the HMI-Advanced software on the delivered DVD directly via the network. Alternatively, you can copy the HMI-Advanced software from the delivered DVD onto a USB stick (min. 512MB) and then directly call up the HMI-Advanced software setup.exe on the PCU 50 on the USB stick (drive G:). Connection of the PCU 50.3 to an NCU 7x0 solution line: HMI-Advanced and NCU communicate through a network connection based on TCP/IP. (See documentation IM5 on the delivered DVD for detailed information). The easiest case is a direct connection between the Ethernet 2 network connection of the PCU 50.3 and the NCU 7x0, X120 using a cross network cable. 2 address with SubnetMask The Ethernet 1 connection of the PCU 50.3 is used to connect a company network. In this configuration the HMI-Advanced software can communicate with the NCU, as the IP address of the NCU has been defaulted in the HMI-Advanced software to X120 with Note: If no communication is established between the HMI and the NCU, please check by means of the Windows TaskManager whether the process cp_840di is used with started HMI. This process is required and is only started (via mmc2\regie.ini) if the HMI-Advanced software has been installed for operation on solution line. If STEP7 is operated on the PCU 50 and the HMI does not communicate with the NCU, please check the settings under Control Panel / Set PG/PC Interface. This access point might have to be configured as specified. Important when upgrading from software 7.1: Delete the existing [NCU840D] section with all entries from user\mmc.ini. Start the HMI-Advanced 7.3 SP3, and modify the IP address of the NCU in the Start-up / HMI / NCU connection screen if it differs from the default. Connection of the PCU 50.3 to an 810D / 840D Powerline: The HMI-Advanced and 810D / 840D communicate via an MPI connection from the MPI/DP connection of the PCU 50.3 to the MPI / OPI connection of the 810D / 840D. On the HMI, the OPI has been defaulted with 1.5MBaud and NC/PLC address 13. The MPI interface of the PCU 50.3 (Control Panel / Set PG/PC Interface) must be set to "S7ONLINE (STEP7) CP5611 (MPI)". New features compared to HMI-Advanced V7.3 SP2 Commissioning area: Changed functionality: NCK Reset: Due to the problem of falling axes, you can now set the following entry in the ib.ini: [Softkeys] LockResetIfPulsesEnabled = 1: => When the drives are operated in open-loop control, reset cannot be triggered, an error message is output immediately. LockResetIfPulsesEnabled = 0: => Same behavior as before, that means, when the drives are operated in open-loop control, an external fault is triggered and a reset is triggered for the drives and the NCK. Condition on delivery: LockResetIfPulsesEnabled = 0 OEM: The file names and Window handles of all open part programs are stored in a file. Compatibility The HMI-Advanced software V7.3 SP3 can be combined with 40D sl NCU 7xx SW 1.4 (or later), 810D / 840D SW 6.5 (or later), 840Di sl SW 1.4 The Help system is based on the documentation for the NCU software 1.4 / 2.4 (solution line) or 7.4 (powerline version) The NC alarm texts are based on NCU software version 2.4 SP1 (solution line) or 7.4 (powerline version) The HMI-Advanced software V7.3 SP3 runs on WinXP only. The HMI-Advanced software V7.3 SP3 only supports new design. The simulation is based on 840D sl NCU-SW 1.4 / 2.4 SP1 resp. 840D NC-SW 7.4 (internal version 67.xx) STEP7 for SINUMERK PCU 50/70 V5.3 (or later) can be installed and runs under HMI-Advanced. 3 STEP7 V5.4 (or later) is required for solution line. Known restrictions System: The editor can only display characters of the European code page The hardcopy function with Ctrl+P is not functional in JobShop screens when installing from JobShop to HMI-Advanced. The first selection of the online help after HMI ramp-up may be faulty and may lead to the description of alarm Any further selection will then produce the correct result. Operating unit management for solution line: Switchover of operating units (OP with TCU and MCP) via channel menu has not been released. Start-up area, SINAMICS start-up: Saving the drive parameterization generated through the wizard takes a long time, independently of the drive configuration. This can be improved considerably by changing the start-up order: first the PLC, then the drive and finally the NCK. For standard direct drives with absolute encoders SINAMICS must be restarted after the parameterized data were saved. The result of the subsequently performed PLI (p431) must be saved. During start-up of a non-siemens ARM motor parameter p500 will not be defaulted with 102. Non-Siemens direct drives are not supported by the drive wizard. This will apply for all drives that were not selected through the "Motor selection" list under "Motor configuration" in the commissioning wizard. No parallel use of measuring functions for i and n measurement via Starter and HMI-Advanced. Starter measurements require a Power OFF => ON and immediate measurement with the Starter. Starter measurements must not be performed after HMI-Advanced measurements. Drive component names (e.g. name of the CU_I, ALM, etc.) cannot be changed under Commissioning --> Drive system --> Drive units --> Change... SINUMERIK HT 8: Traversing keys are only displayed on the HT8 as a function of the PLC bit n+6.7 of the MCP1 (FB1). If the MCP2 (FB1) is assigned to the HT8, the traversing keys are displayed via the bit of the MCP1. The MCP2 entry is not requested. If the HMI-Advanced runs up before the NCK, the softkey "Switch over axis keys" is not available on the CP menu (U key).
