6 Data policy for EO Satellites REVISED, AUGUST 2013 A. Data with Low or Middle resolution The data with Low or Middle resolution such as Earth environment monitoring satellite data is distributed with full and open access way. JAXA accepts non-discriminatory use and redistribution of those satellite data by users. B. Data with High resolution Limited amount of data is provided free of charge to the user for the purpose of Disaster Management, Scientific Research Distribution with the marginal cost to government users under the cooperative agreement Private business operator distribute data with commercial price 5

8 GSMaP As one of GPM JAXA standard products, we have started to release hourly global rainfall data (GSMaP Product) in near real time (about four hours after observations). 13 New ALOS World 3D Precise Global Digital 3D Map Start to process the precise global digital 3D map (DEM/DSM) with 3 million ALOS/PRISM data images. World s best precision of 5m in spatial resolution with 5m height accuracy all over the land terrain.
