2 PCRT 3D The PCRT3D is a versatile 3D radiation treatment planning system featuring the most accurate algorithm calculations, the latest techniques in virtual simulation and the most advanced radiotherapy technologies. The PCRT3D planning system is intended for both, photons and electrons treatments. Scalable Architecture System PCRT3D offers a number of application fields, including: Virtual Simulation, External Radiation treatment, IMRT, Brachytherapy and Permanent Seeds Implant. User-Friendly Patient Data Base The graphic interface based on Windows is easy and intuitive, allowing for a fast, easy and efficient performance. Traceable PCRT3D includes a software security system based on users and user rights. Any alteration made in a specific planning is registered in a database. Continuos Development PCRT3D is a continuously evolving system, as users participate in the development of the new system features. In addition to this, the latest technologies are continuously incorporated to the system. DRR and 3D Dose 1

3 Contouring Easy The contouring is easy and user-friendly, allowing an intuitive use of the software. All operations are displayed in real time in axial, sagittal, coronal, DRR and 3D images. Multimodal The automatic fusion algorithm used performs intermodal CT-PET and CT-MRI matching, as well as CT-CT matching, with no restrictions with regards to the positioning of the patient, making the identification of anatomical structures unnecessary. CT-PET color registration Powerful PCRT3D utilises a wide range of tools to carry out the most complex 3D operations, allowing the easy creation of new volumes based on previously generated virtual. 4 Virtual Simulation Interactive Real Time Virtual Simulation with all possible configurations and utilities available: Wedges, Blocks, Bolus, Compensators and Multileaf Collimators. Connectivity The import and export of data is based on the standard DICOM and has been tested in a wide range of systems. All of the beam s geometrical parameters can be configured by simply using the mouse or the keyboard. Versatile The PCRT3D can deal with any kind of scenario: from the most simple to the most complex treatment. It can also load an unlimited number of images, volumes, beams and treatment plans. 5 Dose Calculation Optimal The dose calculation tool uses efficient algorithms to reduce the calculation timescales along with a high dose precision. Accurate PCRT3D offers the most suitable algorithm for each specific scenario: Photons: Collapsed Cone superposition convolution and 3D modified Clarkson integration. Electrons: Pencil Beam. Safety system Alternative MU s/time calculation for double-checking In addition to following the strictest quality controls throughout the product development process, an additional safety level based on redundant MU s/time calculation is built in and automatically performed by the system. 6 Treatment Planning Evaluation Smart The availability of user generated templates allows fast planning of site specific protocols. Beams can be created, and beam protections adjusted, automatically. Visual Once all the different optional planning have been created, it is easy to assess what the best option for treatment is. This is done via the coloured visualization tools for isocurves doses, whether in 2D or 3D, dose volumes histograms, and radiobiological calculations. Planning Templates Reliable PCRT3D ensures the accuracy of the data exported to the Accelerator by using a hierarchical system of users to digitally validate the different stages of the planning. Customizable DVH, planning comparison The printed reports can be configured using an editor, and the treatment planning sheets can be automatically generated. Customized Print reports 5

7 IMRT Feasible PCRT3D offers different options for IMRT planning. Inverse planning IMRT with Step & Shot segmentation or physical compensator. Direct planning IMRT automatically optimizes beams contribution. Electronic Compensator to perform a homogenous dose distribution. IMRT parameters Powerful The application of Pencil Beam algorithm and Lemke Optimization allows the calculation of an optimal dose distribution through the definition of both the DVH and the user modifiable parameters. Integrated For IMRT planning, PCRT3D offers all the final dose calculations and analysis tools. The automatic export of a planning to phantoms previously set for verification is also available.
