2 Philippine Development Plan (PDP) Development policy framework which focuses on improving transparency and accountability in governance, strengthening the macroeconomy, boosting the competitiveness of our industries, and facilitating infrastructure development, among others. Sectoral Goal Organizational Outcome #1 Actions: DPWH STRATEGIES Access to Markets and production areas and physical Integration of the country Ensure Safe and Reliable National Road System Support for access to major airports, seaports and RORO ports; Implement the Mindanao Logistics Infrastructure Programan initial P16.2 billion (USD 36.2 million) for ; P2.8 Billion Infrastructure support in preparation for APEC 2015 by improving access to airports, convention sites, and tourism destinations. 2

4 Projects under the HSH Network NAIA Expressway, Phase II Project Description Project Cost Implementation Schedule Construction of a 7.15 km, 4-lane elevated expressway and ramps which will link the elevated NLEX-SLEX Link Connector Road and Metro Manila Skyway Will benefit about 80,000 travelers per day due to the expected reduced travel time from Skyway to NAIA T1 from 24 minutes to 8 minutes. Php15.52B (USD million) January 2014 October
5 Laguna Lakeshore Expressway Dike Project (LLEDP) Project Description Cost Schedule 47 km of 6-lane expressway dike with 2 sections. It involves a 700 hectares rawland reclamation and horizontal development component for mixed land uses. This will provide a high standard highway cum dike that will facilitate the traffic flow and mitigate flooding in the western coastal communities. The embankment structure also enhances the aquatic habitat in the lake. Also consonant with the greater Metro Manila Master Flood Control Php122.8B (USD 2.73B) 4 th Quarter December

9 DPWH Climate Adaptation and Resiliency Program Outcome Protect lives and property against major floods and other calamities Organizational Strategy Actions Design and construct disaster resilient public infrastructure facilities. Implement Structural Resiliency Program in new construction and in the reconstruction of calamity damaged infrastructures Identify public facilities as safe Shelter Centers in disaster prone municipalities for resilient design and redundancy to also be used as emergency command center and evacuation facility Use geo-hazard maps for infrastructure planning and disaster risk reduction measures Strict enforcement of water easement laws and removal of informal settlers and structures on waterways and no build / unsafe zones 9
