1 Farm Options - Customer Index Under the I.F.A.R.M. customer window, there are options to manage information at the Farm level. 1. Field Setup Assistant: This option allows the user to easily and quickly add a new field under a farm. A. Select and expand a specific Farm. Any/all Fields should be displayed. B. Right click on a desired Farm. The following menu will be displayed. C. Using the mouse, click on the Field Setup Assistant selection. The following window will appear. Note: The Go To function will appear offering to search by all means: Address, PLSS, Lat/Lon. Note: The Field Setup Assistant will display step-by-step instructions in the far right window to help with using this feature. Users can close the window by clicking the upper right directional arrow. D. Choose a search option then enter the needed information E. Select Submit. 2 F. The map area will display a geographic region based on the search option chosen. A locator pin will appear, plus the CLU and PLSS layers will be displayed. G. From here, the user can zoom out the view and drag the map to locate the field area needed. H. Once the field location is found, the user can right click in the field area. 3 J. Type in the name of the field. Users have the option to add notes as well. K. Click OK when ready. The map display will zoom in to show the newly created boundary. L. The new field (with note) will also be displayed in the index under the Farm. M. Users can use the boundary editing tools to make any adjustments to the new boundary (see editing boundaries in the Tools Boundary Editing Mode section). N. 4 2. Adding Fields: This option allows the user to add Fields to a Farm. A. Select and expand a specific Farm. Any/all Fields should be displayed. B. Right click on a desired Farm. The following menu will be displayed. C. Using the mouse, click on the Add Fields selection. The following window will appear. D. Type in the name of the Field (above). E. Select Save. The new field will show up under the Farm heading as a blank boundary with a?. F. Establishing Field Location. Using the map navigation tools, locate the area where the new field is located (next page). - Use the Pan / Zoom tools to define the new boundary area. - Go to the Account Window and select/highlight the new field. 5 G. Click on Tools drop-down menu. Click on the Boundary Mode. The Boundary Mode (Functions) dropdown menu will appear in the upper map window. H. Click on the Boundary Mode drop-down list and view the options. Click on the New Boundary selection (right). - Once selected, the menu will close. - Go to the field map and begin creating a new boundary. I.F.A.R.M. 108 South Crystal Lane Fairbury, IL (815)

6 I. Start in a corner of the new field location and click. This will start a dynamic polygon that you can use to trace the boundary of the field. - Each click of the mouse creates a boundary point / node. Continue to drag and click until the boundary is complete. J. When done with the perimeter, double-click the mouse to finalize the boundary. - The boundary will fill with red. - Users can use the Edit Boundary features to modify / finish the boundary (below right). 7 K. If satisfied with the new boundary, click on the Click Here to Save button. L. An indicator will display to confirm saving the boundary. If you want to proceed, click Ok. M. A Boundary Saved notice will appear. Note the field will be indicated with a blue outline (below right). N. Go to the Farm and note the new field will now display as a green field icon (vs.? mark). - This field can now be pulled into the Order Form account window to create a Work Order. 8 3. New CLU Boundary: To use this feature, first create a new field. A. Right click on the representative Farm and select Add Fields. B. An indicator will appear asking to name the new field. Type in the desired name and click Save. C. The newly name field will appear under the designated farm. Note the field will have a question mark (?) designated, as it has no boundary defined yet. D. 9 E. Establishing Field Location. Using the map navigation tools, locate the area where the new field is located. - Use the Pan / Zoom tools to define the new boundary area. - Go to the Account Window and select/highlight the new field. F. Click on Tools drop-down menu. Click on the Boundary Mode. The Boundary Mode (Functions) drop-down menu will appear in the upper map window. G. Click on the Boundary Mode drop-down list and view the options. 10 H. Upon clicking the selection, the map area will display the CLU boundary perimeters. I. Locate the desired field perimeter and click inside the area. It will fill, displaying as a red field boundary (below left). - Users can use the Edit Boundary features to modify / finish the boundary (below right).
