13 SCM+ UPDATE» SCM+ endpoint conversion has begun Q4 2012: CENTRON Bridge released using SCM+ Q1 2013: 100W switch from SCM to SCM+ completed, 60W stays SCM Q1 2013: 100G switch from SCM to SCM+ starts, completed by Dec : R300 SCM transition to R400 SCM+» Itron collection systems required to read SCM+ message FC300SR, FC200SR, MCLite, MC3 New radio firmware (newer devices are field upgradeable) FCS v2.3 and higher, MC SW v3.4 and higher Service packs needed if using Advanced AMR Datalogging with SCM+ ERTs» Utility systems and interfaces must support 10 Digit ERT IDs 2012: Itron collection systems support SCM+ and 10 digit ERT IDs 2013: Itron ASN ERT data files covert to 10 digit ERT ID field 2015: 8 digit ERT IDs up to 99,999,999 are used up, roll to 9 and 10 digit IDs 2015: All utility systems and interfaces must support 10 digit IDs

15 ENHANCED ENDPOINT SECURITY» Itron Security Manager (ISM) New product from Itron Manages keys (creation, storage, insertion, revocation) Enables Encryption and Authentication during RF communications» Enhanced Security is available in all CENTRON Bridge meters and next generation 100W and 100G coming in Q1 2013» Some RF communications require enhanced security and ISM Required: Service Switch, Reset Demand, Key Change, Mode Change Optional: SCM+ bubble-up, datalogging interval reads Optional features can be enabled in the field by the utility using FDM or FCS» Itron creates factory keys, secure transfer to utility ISM server» FCS interfaces directly to the utility ISM server
