4 Overview Sophos Central Firewall Manager (previously known as Sophos Cloud Firewall Manager) is a cloud based management service for Sophos Firewalls accessible via Sophos Central. Available only to Sophos Partners, it allows your Sophos Partner to manage your Sophos Firewall device(s). Granting Central Management Rights of Firewall to Partner Step 1: notification of a Partner requesting to manage your Firewall A Partner can request management of your Firewall device(s). An is sent to MySophos registrant of respective Firewall mentioning about this request. Step 2: Approve/reject the request to manage your Firewall device from MySophos Login to your MySophos account (MySophos Account > Network Protection > View Devices). You can view the request under Sophos Central Firewall Manager access column against respective Firewall Serial Number as Approval Pending. June 2016 Page 4 of 9

5 You can view details of the Partner who requested access in a tooltip on the Partner Company name. You can approve Firewall Management requests for selected devices or approve all requests at one go o Select Firewall(s) and click Accept Selected under Central Firewall Manager access dropdown below the Device List table o Alternatively, approve all requests to manage Firewalls at one go by clicking Accept All Awaiting Approval Click OK in the pop-up screen to confirm the action. The status of requested device will turn to Managed. An notification is sent to the Partner informing them about your approval. June 2016 Page 5 of 9

7 Customer can take the following actions: Accept Selected Use this to accept the Partner Request for selected Firewalls. Reject Selected Use this to reject the Partner Request for selected Firewalls. Revoke Selected Use this to revoke the Partner Request for selected Firewalls. Accept All Awaiting Approval Use this to accept all the Partner Requests to allow managing Firewalls on one click. Reject All Awaiting Approval Use this to reject all the Partner Requests on one click. Revoke All Managed Use this to revoke all the Managed Devices on one click. Step 3: notification to Customer An is sent to the Customer approving the request along with the next steps. An notification is also sent if the Customer rejects the request or revokes an already managed device. Step 4: Configure Central Management settings on Firewall Once you have approved the Firewall management request(s) on MySophos, you will need to configure the Central Management settings on respective Firewalls 1. Login to Firewall. 2. Navigate to System > Administration > Central Management. 3. Click on Enable Central Management and under IP Address/Domain field, enter use1.cfm.sophos.com. 4. Click Apply to save the settings. June 2016 Page 7 of 9

8 Note: If Central Management settings are not configured, your Partner will not be able to manage your device. Step 5: Partner manages Firewalls from Sophos Central Firewall Manager The Partner can now access and start managing Firewalls approved for management. A Partner can resend request for devices that are Rejected or Revoked by you. Both the MySophos registrant of Firewall device and the Shared Device user have rights to take action regarding Sophos Central Firewall Manager access. June 2016 Page 8 of 9
