6 AP-6 CO 2 infusor and pneumatic infusor Fluid / CO 2 Supply System for arthroscopy The new CO 2 infusor provides the twin options of fluid and CO 2 infusion into joints. Used in combination with a pressure infusion cuff, intra articular fluid pressure can be maintained automatically over a range of pressures. This system offers significant advantages over both conventional roller type pumps and intermittent hand pumps. This infusor may also be used for hyper infusion therapy. Alternatively CO 2 gas may be infused directly into the joint to provide an alternative to fluid infusion. In some specific cases CO 2 infusion is preferable to fluid infusion. Large joints with synovitis is one such situation. This versatility makes the CO 2 infusor the best option for articular fluid and gas infusion.
