5 Exec Summary - Mobisol s Growth with EEP s Contribution EEP supported Mobisol in scaling operations Scope 1 year project from October 2012 Total cost: 700k euro EEP grant covered 200K euro Goal To scale Mobisol systems and operations to move beyond the pilot phase Impact By the end of the project, Mobisol had: Asanteni Sana EEP, for believing in us! You were right, and so were our customers Grown from 200 to ~1800 customers, against a target of 1200, all paying an affordable price enabled by bulk procurement Updated our database to a more robust system that allowed for effective CRM Set up a proprietary training Academy for our technicians and sales agents

Tanzania 64% of its population also live off the grid. Solar PV is a solution, but has not yet scaled due to: 2 MAIN BOTTLENECKS: High upfront investment for customer Difficult maintenance & control of units

9 Off-grid energy is the future of electricity in Africa Off-grid is creating real and measurable impact What is possible with off-grid using the example of Mobisol: With systems in 2015, Mobisol will: Give over people access to clean and affordable renewable energy Over kids will be able to study (or play) after dusk with healthy light Empower over entrepreneurs who will earn incremental income of > 9m US$ per year with charging mobile phones and solar lanterns, barber salons or the operation of village cinemas Create another 250 jobs in rural Africa Mitigate over tons of CO 2 per year
