9 Successful press outreach! NA2 Task 1 issued a press release in January covering the sonification of data from Voyager 1 and 2 a fun way to demonstrate the power of R&E networks. The story was posted online and through social media; pitched to journalists new and existing relationships and we received some amazing coverage (with important GÉANT mentions):! Technology press GigaOm, Wired, Huffington Post Science, and more.! Mainstream press Guardian, Telegraph, BBC Science, Google and more.! Reached 5 million Twitter accounts, 500k mentioning GÉANT directly! Radio interviews on BBC, and Slovenia s main radio station! Italian audiences at ANSA.it; La Stampa! 11 WIRED UK 250,000 (US has 22 million) Wired magazine: Domenico Vicinanza works at GÉANT, the pan-european data network that offers speeds of up to 500Gbps to researchers. He has used this network to sonify NASA voyager spacecraft data. 11
