One Step optimized x-ray aligned drilling and routing. 2 X-ray optimization by image and/or panel reference holes. Staggered or overlapped reference holes with individual layer selectablility. Depth controlled drill/rout using contact, linear scale or 3D mapping. Add flexibility and capacity with second head. 3 X - RAY SERIES Machine structure A cast iron structure assures high stability. Table moves on a Gantry system allowing the X-Ray source to scan the entire working area. Independent heads High speed, accuracy and flexibility is achieved with independent linear motor driven heads. X-Ray Camera High resolution X-Ray camera, allows you to: Perform over-exposure (for thick panels). Reduce noise effect by averaging the process. Control all parameters via software. A pressure foot on the camera keeps the panel flat against the tooling plate avoiding planarity and other visual inaccuracies. X-Ray sources Linear motor driven microfocus X-Ray source with software adjustable power and contrast. Venturi Vacuum for panel placement Panel placement with venturi vaccum assures panel will be uniform and ready for x-ray measurements and optimization process. Dual laser guides assist the operator in panel placement optional vacuum configurations are available for thin core materials. 3

4 Tool change Automatic Tool changer with 140 tool swappable cassette is standard. Increased tool management system available. Laser station Drill bit height, diameter and spindle run-out are measured via laser station during every tool change. Automatic bushing exchange The special swinging pressure foot provides automatic bushing exchange. This system permits higher accuracy in microdrilling due to the smaller bushing diameter creating a better vacuum flow for chip evacuation and a better foot force on the area. Contact Drilling The Contact Drilling system allows both, broken bit detection and controlled depth drilling. BROKEN BIT DETECTION Thanks to the contact drilling system, any breakage/chipping of small diameter drill bits can be detected in real time. DEPTH CONTROL DRILLING The system assures high accuracy +/- 10 micron ( :) in depth controlled vias. Multiple Image Support Targets can be placed on individual images and optimized by image, thus removing total panel error and providing higher accuracy drilling to each image. Flip Drilling With x-ray or CCD assist, top to bottom aligment is assures accurate and constant through hole drill. GREAT MEASURING (CMM) TOOLS Automatic measuring Measuring distances, pads, holes, pad to hole and other internal reference and quantify offset skew, stretch, shrink, and other distortions. A complete database and advanced statistical reports are available. Manual measuring With our dedicated joy stick, easy manual X-ray or CCD measurements for annular ring, distances between holes, pads and other features are possible. 6

Extended zone target search Automated Target search for all pads or targets not found in nominal position. Panel shifting Avoids the drilling burr in repeated drilling location. System automatically guides operator in panel placement. Classified (grouping) panels This useful function allows processed panels to be classified according multiple classes.
