2 PowerU-FSP Solutions Supplying power into the infrastructure is a complicated activity and it requires a strong understanding of the industry requirements to do it expertly. That s just what we do at Unipart Rail. A full range of Class II equipment to meet your needs, from single switch to 8 functional supply points. Standardised to the needs of projects, flexible to your requirements, simplified to reduce installation times and fabricated in our off-site manufacturing and testing islands in Crewe and York. Full Class II Standards Class II requires all the switch gear components to be earth-free. The switchgear assembly of the PowerU-FSP complies to the Class II and Network Rail standards NR/L2 SIGELP/27409 Issue 2. Safety:assured. We pre-test the modules to ensure full traceability and fast availability of the component parts to give you confidence when ordering for your project. Labelling Full PowerU-FSP laser-engraved labelling ensures traceability of equipment and clear location information. Termination & Installation (FSP03 only) Consultation during the design process has resulted in the obstacle-free routing for 16mm 2 to 120mm 2 2 core enhanced unarmoured copper or aluminium feeder cables and feeds up to four transformers and four other functional circuits. Customisation (FSP03 only) All Unipart Rail PowerU-FSP03s are, where required, supplied complete with surge protection and transformers. Document door pockets and ventilation systems are standard. Cabinets are available as Mild Steel or Stainless Steel. Where required, PowerU-FSP will be pre-wired, ready to incorporate the auto reconfiguration system (ARS). Obstacle-Free Cable Management (FSP03 only) We ve worked hard to create an FSP with rationalised and obstacle-free cable routes. The Cable Protection safety system ensures a tamper-free fit. This all leads to a cleaner engineered finish and trackside installation times to be reduced. 4 PowerU-FSP04 The FSP04 range from Unipart Rail is specifically designed as a solution for legacy installations requiring remedial work as a result of SIN 119 inspections and complies to the Network Rail specification NR/L2/SIGELP/27409 Issue 2. FSP04 Switch Boxes FSP04 - Single End Fed or Sub Fed from a main distribution system for SIN 119 Legacy Installations (Special Inspection Notice). The FSP04 is designed to achieve compliance to BS7671. Suitable as a direct replacement for existing isolation or fusing arrangements within legacy installations. Unipart Rail s FSP04 Switch Boxes are designed, built and tested to conform with BS EN Pt2. The dielectric strength is certified to 5KV in accordance with BS EN Bracket free installation saves both time and money Switch boxes are rated at IP 54 Ingress Protection BS88 and IEC fusing options Direct Connection into the Switchbox of Cu Cable up to 35mm² We can provide a range of switch boxes and TX s pre-assembled and mounted on a back plate for ease of installation. 5 FSP04 Termination Boxes The FSP04 Range of Termination Boxes from Unipart Rail is designed for up to 120mm² 4 core AI or Cu cable, meeting the dimensional specifications of BS5372:1997+A:2012. The Termination boxes are designed to be used in conjunction with FSP04 Switch Boxes (where required), they are also available as an individual termination solution. Cables above 35mm² will require a suitable Termination Box as shown in the Matrix below.
