Overview IBM FlashSystem (R) V9000 brings high capacity and fully integrated management to the enterprise data center. The new 12 Gb SAS expansion enclosure expands total capacity and delivers a tiered data solution. Each LFF expansion enclosure supports twelve 3.5-inch 8 TB NL-SAS drives. Up to two expansion enclosures are supported by a FlashSystem V9000 controller pair, delivering up to twenty-four drives and 192 TB of raw capacity. A FlashSystem V9000 tiered system is capable of providing up to 217 TB usable per building block, with up to 57 TB usable flash capacity and 160 TB usable disk. The V9000 scales up to four building blocks and four additional 57 TB flash enclosures for up to 1,096 TB of usable storage. In addition to direct-attached SAS expansions, the V9000 is capable of virtualizing up to 32 PB of external storage. 7 Products - terms and conditions Warranty period Technical Advisor support will be provided during the warranty period. This support enhances end-to-end support for the client's complex IT solutions. The Technical Advisor uses an integrated approach for proactive, coordinated cross-team support to enable customers to maximize IT availability. Technical Advisor support for FlashSystem V9000 will be delivered remotely and will include a documented support plan, coordinated problem and crisis management, reporting on the client's hardware inventories and software levels, and consultation regarding FlashSystem V9000 software updates. The Technical Advisor will conduct a Welcome Call with the client and provide a statement of work for this support. Machine type 9846: One year. Machine type 9848: Three years. To obtain copies of the IBM Statement of Limited Warranty, contact your reseller or IBM. An IBM part or feature installed during the initial installation of an IBM machine is subject to the full warranty period specified by IBM. An IBM part or feature that replaces a previously installed part or feature assumes the remainder of the warranty period for the replaced part or feature. An IBM part or feature added to a machine without replacing a previously installed part or feature is subject to a full warranty. Unless specified otherwise, the warranty period, type of warranty service, and service level of a part or feature are the same as those for the machine in which it is installed. Extended warranty service: This product is provided with one year of standard warranty and an optional two additional years of extended warranty services to make these offerings. Warranty service If required, IBM provides repair or exchange service depending on the types of warranty service specified for the machine. IBM will attempt to resolve your problem over the telephone, or electronically through an IBM website. Certain machines contain remote support capabilities for direct problem reporting, remote problem determination, and resolution with IBM. You must follow the problem determination and resolution procedures that IBM specifies. Following problem determination, if IBM determines on-site service is required, scheduling of service will depend upon the time of your call, machine technology and redundancy, and availability of parts. If applicable to your product, parts considered Customer Replaceable Units (CRUs) will be provided as part of the machine's standard warranty service. Service levels are response-time objectives and are not guaranteed. The specified level of warranty service may not be available in all worldwide locations. Additional charges may apply outside IBM's normal service area. Contact your local IBM representative or your reseller for country-specific and location-specific information. On-site Service At IBM's discretion, you will receive specified CRU service, or IBM will repair the failing machine at your location and verify its operation. You must provide a suitable working area to allow disassembly and reassembly of the IBM machine. The area must be clean, well-lit, and suitable for the purpose. Service level is: 24 hours per day, 7 days a week, 4 hour average, same day response. 8 IBM is now shipping machines with selected non-ibm parts that contain an IBM field replaceable unit (FRU) part number label. These parts are to be serviced during the IBM machine warranty period. IBM is covering the service on these selected non- IBM parts as an accommodation to their customers, and normal warranty service procedures for the IBM machine apply. Maintenance service options IBM FlashSystem V9000, including its MicroLatency (R) Flash Modules, is covered by up to seven years of total hardware support through the applicable warranty period plus up to six years of optional post-warranty hardware maintenance for a total of seven years. Clients may purchase additional years of maintenance either with the purchase of the system or until IBM announces withdrawal from marketing or withdrawal from service as applicable. IBM also may offer warranty service upgrades that provide additional services during the warranty period. Software support for the IBM FlashSystem V9000 is also available for up to seven years subject to the applicable warranty and post-warranty terms and conditions. IBM reserves the right to modify or withdraw this or any other offerings at any time. Other terms, conditions and exclusions apply. The area must be clean, well-lit, and suitable for the purpose. Service levels are: 9 hours per day, Monday through Friday, excluding holidays, next business day response. Calls must be received by 5:00 PM local time in order to qualify for next business day response 9 hours per day, Monday through Friday, excluding holidays, 4 hour average, same business day response 24 hours per day, 7 days a week, same day response 24 hours per day, 7 days a week, 2 hour average response, same day Non-IBM parts service Under certain conditions, IBM provides services for selected non-ibm parts at no additional charge for machines that are covered under warranty service upgrades or maintenance services.
