The ubiquity of the worldwide web and the pervasiveness of mobile handsets, netbooks, and laptop PCs give consumers near limitless access to on-demand products, information, and services. For retailers focused on strengthening customer advocacy, speed, accuracy, and a personalized shopping experience are no longer differentiators; they are business imperatives. Toshiba SurePoint flat panel touch displays give retailers an intuitive interface for both associates and customers that can increase efficiency and speed, reduce training time and associate errors, and create a unique and differentiated checkout experience. The new models incorporate the same robust infrared touch as previous models and now feature environmentally-friendly LED backlight technology. These SurePoint 1

2 models can be deployed as interactive cashier displays, for multimedia-operator training, for full-motion video advertising, and as interactive customer displays. For maximum investment protection, these new models feature open, industrystandard connectivity that is compatible with virtually any Toshiba POS or standard PC platform. Available interfaces include standard and powered USB. Powered USB eliminates the need for separate power bricks and improves cable management. Available in a choice of colors, these models are color-matched with any Toshiba POS system unit. Key prerequisites One of the following operating systems is required to run the Toshiba SurePoint LED Displays OS V5.2, or higher 1 Microsoft TM Windows TM Embedded POSReady 2009 Microsoft Windows Embedded for Point of Service V1.1, or later Microsoft Windows XP Professional Edition with Service Pack 2 or 3 Microsoft Windows 7 Microsoft Windows 8 SUSE Linux TM Enterprise Point of Service 11 Driver support will be available from the support website.
