QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS FROM OPTIONAL SITE MEETING Q1.Bill 148 will impact the cost of delivering the Cooling Centre Program because minimum wage has increased and we'll be required to pay for staff training and sick days. Has the budget for the Program increased from previous years? A 1. The budget allocated to the Program has not increased from previous years. Please structure your quote according to the RFQ. II. OPTIONAL SITE MEETING PRESENTATION Please find attached the presentation that was delivered at the Optional Site Meeting on April 6, Should you have any questions regarding this addendum contact Sara Brady at sara. Please attach this addendum to your RFQ document and be governed accordingly. 3 Background on RFQ The purpose of this RFQ is to select a qualified vendor for the purposes of delivering a Cooling Centre program for the 2018 summer season (May 15 to September 30) as required by the City of Toronto Hot Weather Response Plan. 3 of 11 2
4 Program at a Glance Cooling Centres provide an air conditioned space where people can go during a Heat Warning or Extended Heat Warning Cooling Centres have tables and chairs for resting, water and juice for hydration, light snacks, and cots for people who do not feel well 4 of 11 3
