2 Message from the Mayor Dear Developer, Thank you for taking an interest in investing in Niagara Falls. My administration is working tirelessly to transform our city to create a place where businesses want to locate and people want to live. The city is currently in the midst of $800,000,000 in development projects, which is proof that Niagara Falls is indeed open for businesses and families. In the city s LaSalle neighborhood you will find the former Wendt s Dairy. An architectural gem, in an art deco style, this could be the ideal site for a return to food processing, laboratory, advanced manufacturing or another creative use(s). Given its location in a mostly residential neighborhood, extra consideration will be given to the impact that said use will have on the immediate surrounding community. From 1948 to 2008 the facility processed milk and juice for Wendt s, Niagara Milk Cooperative and Upstate Niagara. After the building was sold by Upstate Niagara the subsequent owner fell behind on their taxes and ownership of the building and an adjacent parcel have fallen to the city through a tax foreclosure.
