4 ABOUT US OUR COMPANY Established in 2012, by Muzi Mgobozi and Sam Musariri, Blue Gold Group is a company encompassing four distinct multidisciplinary divisions, materials, infrastructure, resources and consulting. In 2013, the materials division was started, Port Shepstone quarries was acquired completing the first quarry acquisition. Since inception, it became very clear that vertical integration will become central to the company s longterm strategy and growth. The company started out in aggregate manufacturing and naturally pronged into the manufacture of other heavy built environment materials viz. asphalt and ready-mix concrete. In 2015, Generic growth led to the creation of the company s Infrastructure and Civils division which takes on civil construction and infrastructure development projects. The unique skills set of the team naturally led to the creation of a consulting arm which has three areas of speciality social facilitation, mine management and civil engineering. What the Company Does Through quarrying and crushing, we provide materials to the construction industry in the private sector, public and governmental institutions such as (municipal, provincial & national governments). The company also gets directly involved in construction through its civils and infrastructure division. And the consulting division provides advisory services to the construction and mining industry. The resources division is involved in the mining exploration and marketing commodities such as coal andchromium. How We Do It Blue Gold Group is known for our independence. We are proud of our private ownership which gives us the flexibility to work with any partner. Our collaborative approach and a real desire to deliver helps our customers and partners deliver the results they want all times. We offer clients a vertically integrated business structure. It s rare to find one com- pany with its own asphalt plants and quar- ries supplying direct to its own civil projects, or its readymix and pre-mix plants delivering direct to its construction.

6 THE THINKING OUR BUSINESS CONCEPT Business Concept The business is split into four vertically integrated divisions. Through this structure we are able to manufacture and supply superior construction industry products to, private clients and public utilities governmental (municipal, provincial & national). Materials Division The materials division through our plants is able to manufacture aggregates, concrete and asphalt for our clients in the different geographical location of our sites. A retail section complements the manufacturing side providing a one stop shop for materials for the construction industry. The services include mine management, mobile crushing, drilling and blasting. We consult in mine management, civil engineering, project management and social facilitation. We are also specialists in conflict resolution within the mining and human settlements projects. 9 OUR MANAGEMENT SKILLED TEAM Our core team is made up of competent, multi skilled executives with strong technical skills and exceptional qualifications, enabling the company to fulfill goals and meet all our clientsdeliverables. Executive Chairman MUZI MGOBOZI Pastor Muzi is the executive chairman of the group. He brings a wealth of business experience spanning well over 15 years gained in both the private and public sector. He spent the early years of his working life in the financial services sector, having worked for companies like African Bank and Liberty Life. At Liberty he was part of the management team that led the acquisition of Capital Alliance and restructured it to form a business that focuses on the lower LSM market. His academic background is in Construction management with a BSc degree in Construction Management gained from Howard College and the prestigious AMTC from LIMRA International (USA). Other than business, Muzi is a senior pastor at the Christ Embassy church. Chief Executive Officer SAMSON MUSARIRI Samson is a seasoned accountant. He has invaluable business experience spanning well over 15years. Much of this was gained in public practice. Sam has several diplomas in accounting and management coupled with strong business acumen. Sam if professional accountant with current professional membership status with a leading accountancy body. Sam has a wealth of experience in building financial systems and architecture as well as invaluable and solid tax and corporate law knowledge gained from the years of public practice. Executive Director MZWANDILE MKHWANAZI Mzwandile Mkhwanazi is a qualified educator and esteemed leader. He has vast leadership and business skills and is a director of several companies. Mzwandile is a specialist in project management and social facilitation. He is a prolific conflict resolusionist in human settlements projects.
