3 Confirmation Information For a nomination to be accepted for batch validation and scheduling purposes, it must be confirmed by the receipt and delivery confirming parties. For timely nominations, this task is done through the Confirmation Response Screen. Please note that timely confirmations are by exception. This means that if no action is taken by the confirming party, the nomination is automatically confirmed. For intraday nominations, this task is performed through Intraday Confirmation Screens. All intraday nominations must be explicitly confirmed unless special customer functionality to auto-confirm nominations is activated. (Note that functionality differs on East Tennessee and Saltville). On Texas Eastern, TABs confirmations are made through the TABS Confirmation Response screen. Confirmation information can be retrieved, and confirmation reductions can be performed at various levels including contract, entity, package id and service requester. 3

4 Confirmation Response Screen Filter To help narrow data on the Confirmation Screens, users may utilize the filter feature. This is done by clicking on the Filter icon in the upper left hand corner of the screen. Fields with available filters will appear in both the grid and form, such as Svc Req K, Svc Req Name, Rate Schedule and Con Status. A field that displays an asterisk will have a lookup available by double clicking in the data field. Its is possible to Exclude Zero Quantities by marking the appropriate box. To save your filter preferences, click the Screen Preferences icon and select Save Grid Filters. 4

5 Confirming Timely Nominations Timely nominations are automatically accepted by the system and processed in the timely batch validation job. However, meter operators can explicitly confirm volumes in the Confirmation Response screen. Once in the screen, enter the location (Loc Prop), begin and ending dates, and click the Retrieve button. Reductions can be made to volumes by changing the number in the Quantity column. (Note that black characters indicate updatable fields) 5

6 Confirming Timely Nominations To reduce a volume, change the number in the Quantity column to a number lower than the number found in the Qty2 column. When prompted, choose one of the proprietary reduction reason codes (DV, NM, NS, RV) and verify the contact information. Then, click the Select button to submit. The Confirmation Response screen will show the reduced volume in the Quantity column and CPR in the RR column. After the next LINK batch validation run, the volumes will be reduced in the Qty 2 column. 6

7 Confirming Timely Nominations A customer can change confirmations between contract, package id and service requester levels at any time as long as no explicit confirmations have taken place since the last batch validation process. Otherwise, you must wait until the next batch validation process completes before confirming at a different level. A customer can only confirm at an entity level by requesting the meter be confirmed at that level seven business days prior to the desired month. The meter cannot be returned to another level until the month is completed. 7

8 Confirming Intraday Nominations When a customer enters a late nomination, the receipt and delivery operators (confirming parties) must confirm the new volume in LINK. A confirming party can view pending nominations by reviewing the Intraday Confirmation screen. To access this screen, click on Nominations/Confirmation/ Intraday Confirmations. Verify the confirming party name and date, then click Retrieve. If a location appears, late nominations are present at that location. If no locations appear, then no late nominations are present to confirm. To confirm late nominations, click on Related Screens, or go directly, to the Intraday Summary Confirmation screen. 8

9 Confirming Intraday Nominations On the Intraday Summary Confirmation screen, a meter number and date must be entered. Click on the Retrieve button to view the data. After verifying volumes in the Req Qty column (requested quantity), select an individual nomination by clicking on the box in the Select column. This will enable the Confirm and Reject buttons. Click the appropriate button to confirm or reject a single nomination, or all nominations, on the page. 9

10 Confirming Intraday Nominations The Intraday Nomination Status screen is used to determine the status of an Intraday Nomination. After entering the appropriate date, click the Retrieve button to display the status of all nominations that have not been scheduled. 10

11 TABS Confirmation A TABS party can verify the balance of their contract at each service location in the TABS Location screen. Enter the TABS contract number and the appropriate date, then click the Retrieve button. The screen will show delivery in, receipt out volumes and a net scheduled volume for each location. You can click on the Requested button above the data field to display the contract balance with any requested nominations waiting to be confirmed or validated by the LINK system. 11

12 TABS Confirmation The TABS Confirmation Response screen shows the individual entries for the contract at a given service location. The contract number, location and date must be entered. Click on the Retrieve button to view the data. Reductions can be made by entering any changes in the Quantity Column and selecting a reduction reason. 12

13 TABS Confirmation In the Reduction Reason popup, choose DV (delivery operator cannot flow volume), NM (no market) or NS (no supply), RV (receipt operator cannot flow volume). Verify your Contact Information and click the Select button to submit. The TABS Confirmation Response screen will show the reduced volume in the quantity column with a CPR in the RR column. After the next LINK batch validation job completes, the volumes will be reduced in the QTY 2 column. 13
