3 Application Process Applicants can find the link to the Ecolab grant application on ecolab.com at On this same webpage on ecolab.com, please find the Reference Guide that is a helpful resource. It outlines the application process and provides an overview of the application questions. 3

4 Application direct link: When applicants first arrive at the Ecolab grant application site, they will need to CREATE AN ACCOUNT, which will trigger an to verify their account (see next slide) Please make sure to follow the password creation requirements If you don t see the , please check your junk mail/quarantined s

5 Click on the link in the from Ecolab Giving to verify your address and new account

6 Return to the Ecolab grant application site and sign-in using your and password

7 After signing in, applicants will arrive at the Home page The first thing to do is CLAIM AN ORGANIZATION! Note the yellow caution sign:

8 In the search field, start typing the name of your school

9 Once you locate your school, click on its name to Claim it If you cannot find your school, try these steps Use the geographic filters by country, state and city to narrow your search Use one of these sites to determine the unique identification number for your school and search by that number NCES public schools search: NCES private schools search: Employer Identification Number: or If you still can t locate your school in the search, ecolabfoundation@ecolab.com with your name, phone number and complete name and address of your school

10 Now the organization is added to the list of My Claimed Organizations

11 Now you are able to Apply for a program: Green Apply button at top right of screen, or Click on Programs and then Apply

12 Next is the Eligibility Quiz; complete each question If you are not certain if you fall within one of the Ecolab locations listed, please contact our office to discuss: or Please note, you may apply on behalf of only ONE location

13 After the Eligibility Quiz, the three sections of the application will display: Organization, Request, Summary First, Confirm the Organization for which you are applying If you need to change the organization, click on change and start your search again Always click SAVE AND CONTINUE at the bottom of each page to save your work

14 Complete the questions on each page of the application: School Information, Demographics, Project Information, Application Questions, Budget, Attestation REMINDER: At the bottom of each page, click Save and Continue!

15 If you need to Save as Draft and return later to complete the application, your Drafts will be saved under the Requests tab Draft applications are indicated by an upcoming Due date listed in the Status column. Click on the Request in blue to return to the application

16 After completing all sections, review your application on the Summary page Each section color should now be blue. If red, return to that section to complete the missing information Once all replies are finalized, at the top or bottom of the Summary page, click on Submit

17 After submitting the request, an will be sent from Ecolab Giving confirming the submission At any time you may log back into the Ecolab grant application site and click on Requests to view the status of requests Decision s will be sent when a request is awarded/not awarded If you have questions about the APPLICATION process, please contact: ecolabfoundation@ecolab.com If awarded, grant disbursement will be handled through our vendor partner Good Done Great and their DonateWell donor advised fund. When grant award decision s are sent out additional information will be included about the funds disbursement process.

18 If you have Draft applications that you started by mistake and no longer need, we recommend you Cancel those. If you do not Cancel unneeded applications, there will be an automated message sent out before the grant deadline indicating you have an incomplete application and we don t want you to panic. To Cancel an unneeded application, click on the Request tab and open up the application At the top right of the screen, click on the red Cancel Request button

19 A cancellation confirmation window will pop up Confirm the cancellation by clicking on the red Cancel Request button. The status is now changed to Cancelled on the Requests page

21 Share with a Collaborator If you want to Share the application with a Collaborator, lick on Share with a Collaborator On the Add Collaborators window, click Select to add someone who is already listed, or Click on New Collaborator to add someone who will automatically be added as a Collaborator Click Save Collaborators 21

22 Share with a Collaborator A Collaborator will get an inviting him/her to collaborate on your request Only one person may make changes to a request at a time, otherwise changes may be lost If this is the first time you are using a collaborator, he/she will also get an with a temporary password to allow him/her to re-enter the site with his/her and the password to collaborate on your request at any time Passwords may be updated at anytime by hovering over the user name at the top right of the screen and pulling down to Profile 22
