2 Alternatively, to access Internet Explorer, clickon the Start button followed by the iexplore shortcut icon located in the start menu.

3 If the UFS website is not the default Homepage, you can access it by typingin URL in the address bar.

4 From the Student tab you can access Blackboard, Student portal, Exam timetables, etc.

5 To access your student , click on the KovsieLife(Student Portal) link.

6 Clickon the Student log in link.

7 Use your student number as your username. After providing your username and password, click Submit. Enter your UFS campus password.

8 Here you can find other information such as your Tuition account, Exam timetable, Study record, etc. Clickon to access your student account

9 1. Read the instructions and enter your address. 2. Enter your UFS campus Password. 3. Clickon Sign in after providing the server with your full address and password.

10 To compose an , clickon Compose.

11 Recipient address. Your address. Subject field: indicate clearly what the topic of the is. Always address contacts with the highest level of courtesy. Always include a salutation and sign off with your name.

12 To attach a file to the , click on the paperclip icon.

13 Click Open. Locatethe file you want to attach (no more than two attachments, unless specifically requested.)

14 Click Send. Ensure that the correct file is attached.

15 The cache is a place on the hard disk where the browser keeps documents that are downloaded in case they are needed again. E.g. when you first visit a website, your browser will download the images to be shown. Every time that you visit a different page on the site, those images need not be downloaded again (as long as the same images are shown on the page). As the cache gets full, the items in it that has not been used in a while are discarded to make room for the new ones. Sometimes what you will see are badly formatted web pages, incomplete pictures or even the wrong picture in the wrong place. Clearing your cache simply forces your browser to rebuild its cache from scratch as it loads or re-loads webpages. This means that there is no more confusion, as the browser downloads fresh copies of everything that you see on a page. This process leads to an optimum level of functions, as a full cache may slow down the computer while it stores numerous files in your computer. Cleaning caches can also resolve problems like webpages that hangs or freezes, a browser which is continually just loading and online applications like games, movies, music, etc. that are usually not responding. To clear the cache in Internet Explorer:clickon the gear icon in the upper right corner of the window.

16 1. Hoverover the Safety option, and clickon Delete browsing history. 2. Deselect this option: Preserve Favorites website data. 3. Selector deselectother items as you see fit. 4. Click on Delete.

17 To clear the cache in Mozilla Firefox: 1.Click on the menu icon in the upper right corner of the window. 2. Clickon Options from the drop-down list. 3. Clickon Clear now. 4. Click OK.

18 To clear the cache in Google Chrome: 1. Clickon the menu icon in the upper right corner of the window. 2. Click History from the dropdown list.

19 1. To clear the cache, clickon Clear browsing data. 2. Selector deselectthe items as you see fit. 3. Click on Clear browsing data.

20 To connect to a wireless network, typethe URL the address bar. Click on the arrow to load the page.

21 1. Click on Start. 2. Clickon Run.

22 1. Selectthe UFS Campus Network option. 2. Click on Next.

23 To attempt a connection to a secure network, clickon Connect.

24 You are now connected to a secure wireless network. Clickon Close to start surfing the internet.
