1 Introduction The QCAA Portal provides a secure, single point of access to QCAA s data collections and applications that prepare schools for the new senior curriculum and assessment processes. It also provides access to information sources previously available in the School Portal, e.g. study plans, NAPLAN reporting and reporting for Year 12 outcomes. is available to administration and teaching staff of Queensland schools and existing School Portal users. The QCAA Portal is not for student access. The first release of the QCAA Portal is for the staff of primary and secondary schools; further releases will extend access to staff at other learning providers. If you previously had a School Portal account, please see the More information section on p. 9 for support on creating your QCAA Portal account with your School Portal information. 2 Registering for your QCAA Portal account Step Access the QCAA Portal Go to in your internet browser. Click register for an account. Note: If you click Continue and do not have an account, you can click the register for an account link on the next page. Page 2 of 9

3 Step Step 1 of 4 Enter your school and address Enter part of your school name and select from the list. Note: Only schools with an Organisation Administrator will be listed. For further information hover over. Note: If you work at multiple schools, enter your base school into the field. Once your base school has granted you access, you will need to contact the Organisation Administrator at each of your other schools to grant you access to each specific site. Enter your work address. Click Next. Note: If you already have a School Portal account, you will receive an error message that includes a link to log in: There is a School Portal account that uses this address. You can set up a QCAA Portal account with your School Portal login. See the More information section on p. 9 for further support on registering with a School Portal account. Page 3 of 9

4 Step Verification A verification code will be sent to the address entered in the previous step. The subject of the will be Your QCAA portal verification code. Copy the six-character verification code. Note: If you do not receive an with the code, check your spam or junk folder. Step 2 of 4 Enter your verification code Paste the six-character code into the Verification code text box. Click Verify. Note: The code is valid for 10 minutes. Click Resend to issue a new code if required. Page 4 of 9

5 Step Step 3 of 4 Enter your details If you are a registered Queensland teacher, you can enter your Queensland College of Teachers (QCT) registration number and click outside the field to autofill your details. Enter your details. Note: Within the QCAA Portal all fields marked with a red asterisk * are mandatory. Click Next. Page 5 of 9

6 Step Step 4 of 4 Create a password Enter a password that meets the password requirements. Note: A valid password: does not contain spaces contains between 8 and 16 characters does not contain your given name, preferred name, middle names, family name or contains at least: - one upper and one lower case character, i.e. A Z, a z - one numeric character, i.e one special character, i.e.! #$%& ()*+,-./:;<=>?@[\]^_`{ }~ Enter the password again to confirm. Click Register. Confirmation message The Organisation Administrator at your school will process your registration. 7 Account creation Successful account creation The Organisation Administrator at your school will process your account request and assign your access roles. Once this happens successfully, an is automatically sent to the address you entered during registration. The subject of the will be Your QCAA portal account has been created. Unsuccessful account creation The Organisation Administrator at your school may be unable to process your account request or assign your access roles if the details you provided are incorrect. If this happens, an is automatically sent to the address you entered during registration. The subject of the will be Your QCAA portal account. 8 Logging in to the QCAA Portal Step Access the QCAA Portal Go to in your internet browser. Click Continue. Enter your Sign in name. (This is recorded on the Your QCAA portal verification code and the Your QCAA portal account has been created . It will be your address.) Enter your Password. Click Continue. Depending on the level of access granted by your school, you may see a different number of tiles on your QCAA Portal home page. Select the required tile to open the application. Page 8 of 9
