1 How to Submit Installments to the Undergraduate Research Scholars ecampus Community

2 Go to ecampus.tamu.edu and log in using you re TAMU Net ID and Password.

3 You should arrive at your ecampus homepage. Click on Undergraduate Research Scholars under the My Organizations tab to continue to the next page.

4 This is the overview page for the Undergraduate Research Scholars ecampus Community. Here you can review program requirements. Use the left hand navigation boxed in red to access other content and assignments.

5 The Deadlines & Workshops page lists all mandatory events, assignment due dates, and the general program schedule.

6 The Downloads & Guides page contains documents such as your Thesis Manual & Policy Guide, Thesis Template and Annotated Examples, and other helpful resources. All of these resources can also be found at: ent/resources

7 All assignments will be submitted through this page, including all Progress Reports, Thesis Installments, and the Public Presentation Report.

8 Use the Submission Feedback page to review previous submissions and comments left on your documents by the thesis reviewers. What you see below is how your assignments will appear.

9 Submitting a Progress Report

10 Select the Assignments link on the left-hand navigation.

11 Select the First Installment folder.

12 From here you will see First Installment Progress Report and First Thesis Installment Submission as well as requirements and submission instructions.

13 Select First Installment Progress Report.

14 To start your progress report select Begin. Note that you are able to save and resume the progress report anytime before the due date. The progress report questions are available on the Downloads & Guides page if you wish to review them prior to starting your submission.

15 Take the time to answer every question. Simply a Yes or No answer is not acceptable. If you wish to save your progress and resume later, select Save All Answers and exit the page.

16 Once you have answered all the questions select Save and Submit to submit your progress report for grading.

17 You should see this screen once you have completed your progress report.

18 Submitting a Thesis Installment

19 To submit your First Installment, you will need to navigate to the First Installment page again. First, select the Assignments link on the left-hand navigation.

20 Then select the First Installment folder.

21 Select First Thesis Installment Submission.

22 Review the requirements on this page and make sure your submission complies with ALL of them. Failure to comply may result in your installment needing corrections and/or delayed grading. Remember, no late work will be accepted without a universityapproved absence! See for more information.

23 Scroll down and select Browse My Computer to upload your document.

24 Find and select your installment, then select the Open button to upload the file.

25 You should see your document appear under the Attached files section. Select the Submit button to submit your document.

26 A successful submission will bring you to this page where you are able to review your submission, and see any previous attempts.

27 If you have not done so, complete your progress report now.

28 You have now completed your assignment! Please check your regularly for any revision requests. You will be provided with a new deadline that must be met. If you have questions please us at ugr@tamu.edu

29 Checking Submission Feedback and Submitting a Revised Document

30 Select Submission Feedback from the left-hand navigation.

31 Click the blue chat bubble to view generalized comments that may have been left by your reviewer. If your document needs corrections, a new deadline to submit your revised document will be provided here and in an . Comments regarding required revisions appear directly on your document. If your grade is 1, your document contained no formatting errors and is approved. If your grade is 0 (as depicted), your document contained formatting errors and further corrections are need.

32 After clicking the blue chat bubble reviewer comments will appear here.

33 If corrections are needed, click on the title of the Installment Submission.

34 You will see this page.

35 Click the Attempt # drop down and select your most recently graded attempt.

36 Specific comments regarding corrections will appear here. These look like Track Changes in Microsoft Word. Any generalized comments and the new submission deadline will be found here.

37 Once you have reviewed your comments, you will need to submit a revised document. Make the changes as requested on the SAME file you originally submitted.

38 To start the process of submitting a revised document, select the Assignments link.

39 Select the First Installment folder.

40 To submit revisions for the Installment select First Thesis Installment Submission.

41 Make sure ATTEMPT 2 (or the most recent attempt) is selected. Then click the Continue Button to submit a revised document.

42 Review the requirements on this page and make sure your submission complies with ALL of them. Failure to comply may result in your installment needing corrections and/or delayed grading. Remember, no late work will be accepted without a universityapproved absence! See for more information.

43 Scroll down and select Browse My Computer to upload your document.

44 Find and select your REVISED installment, then select the Open button to upload the file.

45 You should see your document appear under the Attached files section. Select the Submit button to submit your document.

46 A successful submission will bring you to this page where you are able to review your submission and see any previous attempts.

47 Please check your regularly for any additional revision requests. You will be provided with a new deadline that must be met. If you have questions please us at ugr@tamu.edu
