4 Introduction As a clinical software system, McKesson Practice Partner manages a variety of information including patient demographics, clinical details, and production analysis. For more information on Practice Partner EMR visit our website Objectives and Summaries This manual contains objectives which provide you with overall goals that you will achieve by the end of this training. 5 Lesson One: Logging into Web-View Objectives: By the completion of this chapter, you will be able to: Successfully Log into Web-View 5

6 Logging into Web-View On any computer with internet access navigate to the following URL address: You should the screen below: In the fields listed for Username and Password enter your McKesson Practice Partner Username and Password that would have been issued to you by the HealthPoint EMR Team. NOTE If this is your first time logging in you may be prompted to change your password to one of your choosing. 6

7 Once you have successfully logged in you should see a screen that looks like the one below: To log-out click the Logout button in the upper left hand corner of the screen to exit Web-View. 7

8 Lesson Two: Performing a patient look-up Objectives: By the completion of this chapter, you will be able to: Successfully query the database for a specific patient s records 8

9 Patients can be queried by the following criteria: Patient Name Patient ID Patient Phone Number Once you input your criteria and hit search you will be presented will possible matches. For our purposes we are searching for a patient named Andrew Test. You can see the results listed below: Once you have found the correct patient, click on the Patient s ID number which is shown in blue font to signify that it s an active text link. 9

10 Once you have clicked on the Patient ID it will open up that patient s chart and look like the screen shown below: NOTE From the home screen of your patient s chart you will notice numerous link s on the left hand side. You can click any of the links to see the detail of the patient s chart that relates to the link. For example if you want to see the patient s Major Problems click on that link and the problems will display like the screen below: 10

11 Previous progress notes are available through Web-View. If a patient has multiple progress notes you will need to select which progress note you would like to view. See the screen shots below which shows a patient with multiple progress notes, click on the one you would like to review: 11

13 Lesson Three: Messaging through Web-View Objectives: By the completion of this chapter, you will be able to: Successfully send and receive messages from other EMR users 13

14 Viewing your inbox: Web-View messaging functions much like an program. To view your inbox click on the active text for inbox on the left hand side of the screen. You will see pending messages in your inbox. To open a message click on the blue font active text link for the desired message you would like to open. It will look similar to the test message shown below: 14

15 Sending a message To send a message click on the New Message active text and a window will pop up that looks like the one below: Much like an application you can click on To to select who with-in HealthPoint you would like to send the message to. 15

16 Once you have located the person you would like to send the message to, double click on their name and it will populate to the right hand side of the screen into the To: box. To send a Cc: single click into the Cc: box on the right hand side first and then double click on the name you wish to Cc: to. To remove a name, double click on it in the right hand side of the screen. 16
