1 When you have finished reviewing accounts and are ready to follow up on the past-due balances through one of the actions provided in PulsePro. Often, a patient incurs a large balance that they cannot pay, and agrees to pay monthly payments until the balance is paid in full. 7 In this demonstration, we have previously created a worklist for the accounts which meet our practice s criteria for a budget plan and require an initial courtesy phone call. 8 Click to select the appropriate worklist in the list pane, and then click the Select button on the toolbar. We are working with our Budget Plan Phone Call candidates, so we will select the Budget Plan JBB - Courtesy Calls worklist generated on 10/22/2008, and then click the Select button. 10 The list pane in the Account Management window has now been populated with the records for the selected accounts. If needed, the account may be researched by using one of several methods provided in this window. For more information, please refer to the Researching an Account lesson in this module. 12 The Action window appears consisting of a toolbar, an options pane, a status pane, a list pane, and a working pane. The fields in the options pane display the company and patient to whom this account belongs. The status pane displays pertinent information regarding the selected account. 13 This list pane will display any previous actions that have occurred on the account. The working pane can be used to create new actions or record a resolution to the account. 16 While speaking with the patient over the phone it is determined that the patient cannot pay their balance and wants to setup monthly budget payments. From the list of options, we will select the code for Budget Plan Copyright 2012 Pulse Systems, Inc. Page 16 of 31

17 In the Amount field, type the amount the patient agrees to pay each month. It is suggested that the amount be set at a level that is higher than a typical copayment amount. For this reason, we will type 30 in the field. Copyright 2012 Pulse Systems, Inc. Page 17 of 31
