2 Installing the App The Doctor s WiFi App is available for download in the Google Play App Store. Search for Doctor s WiFi in the relevant app store and select Install. Once the application has been installed it can be found on the home screen of the device. Launching the App In order to launch the application, locate the icon on the home screen and click on the icon. On initial launch, the application will request access to the device s location, the ability to make and manage phone calls and to enable pop-up notifications. Providing access to the device s location will allow the application to locate the nearest Netcare location via the Find Screen. Pop-up notifications allow the device to receive important notifications such as usage limits. Ensure that all requests are accepted to allow optimum performance of the application.

3 Registering On initial launch of the application it will need to register with the network and allow the application to seamlessly connect to the WiFi network in future. The username for registration is your HSPCA number and the e.g. The password for registration is the password that you would have received via upon registering for the WiFi service or the password you have selected if you chose to update your password via the Netcare WiFi Portal. Enter your credentials and click Register. If registration is successful, the application will provide an overview of the Features, click Get Started to continue. The application will then update the connection profile in the device. Once this has been completed, click Done to continue. 4 Connect to the Wi-Fi Network If the device has not connected to the Wi-Fi network before, then please manually connect to the W-Fi. On the device, open Settings > Wi-Fi, then select the network from the list of available networks. Notes: The Wi-Fi Network is only available in Netcare Hospitals. After the device has connected to the Wi-Fi Network once, it will automatically connect to this network in future.

5 Find Screen/Default Home Screen The Default Home Screen for the application is the Find Hotspots section. If location services are enabled on the device, the application will default to the current location and show any nearby Hotspots, that are supported by the application. The default view is the Map View. The hotspots can be shown in list form by selecting List. Clicking on the symbol will allow you to search by location; enter the city where you wish to locate a hotspot. In order to refine the search, click on the search by keywords, such as Hospital Name. symbol. 6 Menu The Hamburger Menu ( ) will reveal the following menu options: - Find Hotspots - Connect - Favourites - Map Key - Account Notifications - Settings - Help - About Clicking on the Registered Account name will reveal the following menu options: - Product Information - Manage Devices These menu options are covered in the sections that follow.

7 Connect The Connect screen shows the current connection state of the applications connectivity. If the application is not connected, click on the green Connect button to connect to the network. Once the application is connected, the red Disconnect can be used to disconnect from the Wi-Fi Network, this is not recommended. Click the icon to access the Network Selection screen. Ensure that the Wi-Fi Network is selected.

8 Favourites Selecting the Favourites option from the menu will show any hotspots that were marked as a favourite from the Find Screen. Click on Clear All to delete all hotspots marked as Favourite. Clicking on a hotspot will open the hotspot information. Clicking on the will open the default maps application on the device, and provide turn by turn navigation.

9 Map Key The map key shows the various different icons that will show in the Find screen. Account Notifications When notifications are received, they are saved in the notifications screen to viewing later. Notifications will include usage thresholds and application updates.

11 The settings menu contains various configuration options for: - Data - Find - Connect - Account - Account Notifications These menu options are covered in the sections that follow. Data Manage Offline Data The Doctor s WiFi application can download and store multiple offline datasets, making it easy to view and find hotspots without an active internet connection. All available data sets will be shown in the menu and can be downloaded by clicking the icon. Update Offline Data Clicking the Update Offline Data menu item will perform a check if there are any updates to the downloaded maps and then download them accordingly. Find

12 Map type The Map Type menu item will provide the option to select the map type view, from the following option: - Map - Satellite - Hybrid The default is set to Map view. Units

13 The Units menu item will allow the selecting of either Imperial (Miles and Yards) or Metric (kilometres and meters) units for the distance. The default is set to Metric. Clear Search History This will clear any details of searches that were made in the Find screen. Connect Auto Connect When selected, Auto Connect will enable to application to automatically connect to know WiFi Hotspots. For optimal performance, this should always be set to Auto Connect enabled. Connect Notifications When Connect Notifications are enabled, the application will show any changes to the connection status on the device home screen. Connection Status Indicator The application can be set to always show the connection status on the locked screen by selecting Always. When set to In Application the application will only show the connection status when the application is open.

14 Account Network Services Selecting Network Services from the menu will run an update on the active profile and confirm the status of the account. Product Information

15 The Product Information section can be used to view general product information around the usage and the amount of data remaining. It will also show a daily usage breakdown by Time or Data. Manage Devices The Manage Devices screen provides the ability to unregister devices from the account. Click on the icon to remove the device. Send Information The application is set to send anonymous usage information for statistical, monitoring and troubleshooting purposes. Ensure that this is enabled for optimal performance. Submit Connection Logs If the application experiences connection issues, this can be used to submit logs directly to support for troubleshooting. This should only be used when instructed by a support agent.

16 Account Notifications Inbox When notifications are received, they are saved in the notifications inbox screen to viewing later. Notifications will include usage thresholds and application updates. Account Notifications When enabled, this will the allow the application to receive notifications about the registered account. Notifications will include those around usage thresholds and should be enabled.

17 Help The help screen contains various frequently asked question around the operation of the application and can be used as a quick reference. About The About screen provides information about the application version and legal disclaimers. It also contains support information and the ability to rate the application.
