2 How to import the sample data to StreetSync? Add a new Sample Route with the Sample Start and End Location Click on the Data Menu and under Vehicles select Add New Vehicles to add a new route with a start and end point that matches the sample data area. The Vehicle Manager opens and you can enter a name for your route ( Paul s Truck ). Choose a start time for the route and a symbol for this vehicle/route. To add a new internal location as a start and end point of the sample route click on the new button next to the Start Location field. The Internal Location Manager opens and you can now enter the sample data as shown on the screenshot. Once the data is entered you can digitally match the address by clicking on the Find button. The data is now matched and the X/Y Values for your internal location are shown. Confirm your entry by clicking on Save and then close the Internal Location Manager.

Create a new import profile for the sample data by clicking on the Create New Profile button. In the next window you can enter a unique name for the new import profile and then choose the format of the sample source file. The sample data for Europe comes in Excel format, so pick Excel and click on the next button to navigate to the next step. Now you are ready to select the sample file. Click on the browse button and navigate to your sample data folder in your StreetSync Folder. (C:\Program Files\StreetSync\SampleData) Open the Sample Data Folder and choose the Excel File SampleDataUS. Confirm with the Next button.

Make sure your data looks like our example and confirm with the Next Button Confirm the next two steps with the Next and the Finish Button, indicating that you want to place the stops in the Sample Data Folder that was created at the beginning and that you want to save the new import profile for future use.

6 Optimize your sample route and view results on the map Once the Import Wizard is finished you will find your sample stops in the Unrouted Stops in the Folder Contents Overview. Click on the Unrouted Stops to see all stops with full address information and click on the Build All Routes Symbol in the menu to optimize your stop sequencing for Paul s Truck. The stops are assigned to Paul s Truck now and you can see all details for his route, such as driving time and service minutes when you click on Paul s Truck (25). To see an overview of the statistics you can click on the Solution Folder. To see his route on the map, click the View On Map button on the menu as indicated. You can now add another route to divide the work efficiently on two or more of your drivers. Just click on the truck symbol on the menu bar and select the route or driver that you want to add. (Create new routes as described earlier) Confirm with OK.

Once you hit the Build All Routes Button on the menu bar the software will divide the workload on both drivers in the most efficient matter.

You can see the stop distribution of both vehicles on the map when you click on the view on map button in the menu. (Make sure the Solution Folder is marked.

It is possible to zoom in and out. On top of the map view you can see the turn-by-turn directions.

7 Once you hit the Build All Routes Button on the menu bar the software will divide the workload on both drivers in the most efficient matter. You can directly compare both routes in the summary overview now and you can try out different what-if scenarios and pull stops from one driver to the next. You can see the stop distribution of both vehicles on the map when you click on the view on map button in the menu. (Make sure the Solution Folder is marked.) In the Map Display window you are able to see the sequence of each driver. Just mark the vehicle and click on the View On Map button. It is possible to zoom in and out. On top of the map view you can see the turn-by-turn directions. You are now ready add more drivers or routes to try out all the features StreetSync offers and you can create a couple reports.
