1 Importing and exporting message scripts All rights reserved January 2005 American Tel-A-Systems Inc Curtin Drive, McFarland, Wisconsin USA Infinity Intelligent Series message scripts are resident on the Intelligent Series server. They can be shared between Infinity users, but must first be imported or exported. The mechanism for importing and exporting message scripts is accessed from the Message Scripting Toolbar, located near the center of the Intelligent Messages screen in the Client Setup pages of the Infinity Intelligent Series Supervisor application. Click on the Import/Export icon and drag down the menu to open the Import/Export Wizard, which guides the user step-by-step through the process of importing and exporting Intelligent Messaging scripts.

2 2 Exporting a script Importing and exporting message scripts For the purpose of exporting a script, the Import/Export Wizard acts upon the message script that is displayed in the tree view on the Infinity Intelligent Series Supervisor screen. When importing a script, the wizard prompts the user to navigate to the file to be imported. At the initial screen of the Import/Export Wizard, select Message Script on the menu of available Infinity Intelligent Series forms and click the Next button to display the Exporting Message Scripts prompt. Note that the script that is displayed in the tree view is selected for export when the screen opens. Select the Open Script Library Link checkbox to have the wizard open a web browser window and navigate to the Internet-based Amtelco Resource Library to contribute your script to the library s collection. The based Amtelco Resource Library also can be accessed by navigating to the following URL: Click on the Finish button to move to select a folder on the hard disk of your workstation as the destination of the export. Infinity Intelligent Series message scripts are resident on the Infinity Intelligent Series server. Scripts are identified by the suffix.iif and by default are saved to the following path on the hard disk of the workstation running the Infinity Supervisor application. C:\Program Files\Amtelco\Intelligent Series Supervisor\Export Files You may choose to save your exported script to another file at another path, even to another workstation that is connected to the same network as your workstation.

3 Importing and exporting message scripts 3 Click the Save button on the Save Import File prompt to write your exported script to the file file location designated on the prompt. If you did not select the Open Script Library Link checkbox on the previous screen, at this point the wizard writes the exported script to the designated file location and returns you to the Intelligent Messages screen in the Client Setup pages of the Infinity Intelligent Series Supervisor application. The exported script can now be shared with other Infinity users by attaching it to an message. If you did select the Open Script Library Link checkbox on the previous screen, at this point the wizard writes the exported script to the designated file location, returns you to the Intelligent Messages screen in the Client Setup pages of the Infinity Intelligent Series Supervisor application and opens a web browser window and navigates to via the Internet to the log-in screen of the Amtelco Resource Library. 4 4 Importing a script Importing and exporting message scripts For the purpose of importing a script, the Import/Export Wizard prompts the user to navigate to the file to be imported. At the initial screen of the Import/Export Wizard, click the Browse button to locate and select the message script file to be imported. Click the Next button to display the Select Import File prompt. The Amtelco Resource Library also can be accessed at times other than during the import process by navigating to the following URL: You may need to navigate to another file at another path, even from another workstation that is connected to the same network as your workstation, to select the script to import.

5 Importing and exporting message scripts 5 In the above example, the script to be imported is located on the desktop of the user s workstation. Click the Open button on the Save Import File prompt to continue the export process. The Save Import File prompt closes and you are returned to the initial screen of the Import/Export Wizard.

6 6 Importing and exporting message scripts Check to ensure that the file you selected and the path to it are now displayed on the wizard screen. Click the Next button to move to the next screen in the import process. At the Importing Message Scripts prompt, indicate the final destination and the intended Client Number for the script being imported The Msg Script Dest menu on the Importing Message Scripts prompt allows you to choose between importing the script to a particular Client Account or as a script template. Click the Finish button to display the Save Script prompt that prompts you to the imported script a new name. Click the OK button to write your imported script to the Infinity Intelligent Series server and return to the Intelligent Messages screen in the Client Setup pages of the Infinity Supervisor application.
