3 3 1. Creating Weinmann CNC output file Once the MWF panel(s) are framed, we can create the Weinmann CNC output by selecting the panel(s) and click on the Weinmann CNC. (StrucSoft Solutions tab MWF Pro wall Output Weinmann CNC) 2. Navigating the Weinmann CNC User Interface The Weinmann CNC user interface has the flexibility to conform to various settings of Weinmann CNC machine. It needs to be set up depending on what specification your actual machine has.

4 4 2.1 Output folder One can select where the WUP files are to be saved by clicking on the Browse button in the top portion of the User interface. 2.2 Multiwall The Weinmann Table has the capabilities to create multiple panels at the same time. That feature can be enabled by clicking the Multiwall Checkbox. This will activate the specific table settings. Simply input the length and width of the table. The Dead zone is the space between each panel that a user can set. 2.3 Sequencing The Sequencing allows you to control what panels to consider in the Weinmann output along with the order that the panels get created in. Panels in a similar color get created at the same time. This feature only gets enable with the multiwall option checked. Clicking the Optimize button gives you the optimal sequence at which the panels get created while utilizing all of the available table space. One can change the order the panels get created in by using the up/down arrows. To exclude a panel from the WUP file, simply select the panel and click on the remove button.

5 5 2.4 Separate Cutting Files By default, both the Cuts and assembly of the panels are created in one shared file. Certain machines require a separate cutting and framing file. One can get separate files by clicking the Generate Separate Cutting File checkbox. With that feature enabled, one has the option to exclude both the full vertical members and the tracks by clicking the respective checkboxes. 2.5 Marking The Weinmann machine will mark every member it cuts and print a label on it. One can control which face gets marked as well as the distance from the start of the member. By default, it will print the label on the smaller face. One can overwrite this by clicking the Mark On Large Face checkbox. The print distance is also controlled by inputting a value in the appropriate box. 2.6 Holes MWF gives the option to place different holes on your members at specific locations. The Weinmann CNC machine has the capabilities to punch those holes on the members. One can choose to use the holes from the model by checking the appropriate checkbox. This will create those holes in the cutting file. With the Include Holes to Framing Files checked, one has the option to include the holes in the Framing file. With the Include Holes to Framing Files unchecked, one can have the holes displayed in the cutting file, but not the Framing file.

6 6 2.7 Output File origin point One can select the origin point of the output file. By default, every member in the output file will be generated in the positive space. Meaning everything will be located to the right and on top of the origin point, this includes the sheathing members. The following image displays that the sheathing member goes beyond the Structure member. One can check the boxes below to always start the origin at the Structure member, thus resulting in a negative value for the position of the sheathing. Certain machines are inverted when it comes to which face of the panel(interior/exterior) is on the top or the bottom of the Weinmann table. One can control that by clicking the Flip Int-Ext check box. 2.8 Part Index The Weinmann machine uses index numbers to designate which member or which tool to use. Every member/tool has its own unique index number. An index number for members refers to the Pile which the machine has to take that member from. An index number for a processing tool refers to the tool type. For example, in the routing process, the index number would refer to the size, type or orientation of the drill. One has the option to define the index number for each member/process.

7 7 2.9 Routing The Weinmann machine will place sheathing on the panels. It then needs to apply a routing process for openings and the edges of the panel. To define the size of the routing drill, one can input the Index number in the Part index section of the Weinmann CNC user interface. A routing tolerance can also be added.
