3 EQUIPMENT Podium-Top Connections 1 x HDMI Male Connector 1 x VGA Male Connector w/ 1/8 Audio 1 x Composite Audio/Video Displays / Projectors Audio Cameras 2 x Ceiling-Mounted Panasonic Projectors 1 x Touch-Screen Preview Monitor w/ USB Connector 4 x Ceiling Microphones 3 x Choir Microphones 2 x Wireless Handheld Microphones Stereo Speaker System 1 x Document Camera 1 x Rear-Mounted Camera Miscellaneous 1 x DVD / Blu-Ray Player POWERING UP THE PRESENTATION SYSTEM Use the podium touchpanel to power up the presentation system. The touchpanel will become active when motion is detected in front of the podium. There will be a power button at the center of the screen. 3
4 Pressing this button will prompt the user to select a mode of operation: Presentation Mode or Individual Mode. This mode can be changed during operation. Presentation Mode In Presentation Mode, both projectors will display an image from the same source. 4
5 Individual Mode In Individual Mode, each projector is controlled individually, allowing two separate images from two separate sources to be displayed on the screens. OPERATING THE PRESENTATION SYSTEM Upon powering up the system, the user will be presented with a control interface as pictured below: The function of each button/control is explained in this section. Display 1 (only available in Individual Mode) This button allows the selection of a source for screen 1 ONLY. Display 2 (only available in Individual Mode) The button allows the selection of a source for screen 2 ONLY. 5
6 VGA This button selects as a source the device plugged into the VGA connection on the podium. If the 1/8 audio connection is plugged in, this source will also have audio. To control the volume of the audio carried through this connection, press the Audio Control button. HDMI This button selects as a source the device plugged into the HDMI connection on the podium. To control the volume of the audio carried through this connection, press the Audio Control button. Blu-Ray This button selects as a source the Blu-Ray player provided under the podium top. This Blu-Ray player is DVDcapable. This button also enables controls specific to this source (see next section: Additional Controls). To control the volume of the audio carried through this connection, press the Audio Control button. 6
7 Document Camera This button selects as a source the Document Camera mounted above the podium. The purpose of this device is to display and share paper documents through the projectors. This button also enables controls specific to this source (see next section: Additional Controls). Composite Audio/Video This button selects as a source the device plugged into the composite audio/video connectors on the podium. To control the volume of the audio carried through this connection, press the Audio Control button. Display On/Off/Mute These buttons allow you to power on and off the projectors and mute the sound coming from the displays. Screen Control This button is used to access the controls to raise and lower the screens for the projectors. 7
8 Volume These buttons allow you to control the volume of the audio coming through the display. Camera Control This button selects as a source the camera mounted in the back of the room. This button also enables controls specific to this source (see next section: Additional Controls). Audio Control This button is used to access the controls for raising and lowering the system volume. Room Mode This button allows you to switch between Presentation Mode and Individual Mode. System Off 8
9 This button powers down the system and returns the touchpanel to its original screen. Help This button brings up a dialog box displaying contact information in the event assistance is needed. ADDITIONAL CONTROLS Some button presses will enable additional controls. This section describes each of these controls. 10 Document Camera 1 Zoom In 4 Increase Focus 7 Iris Up 2 Zoom Out 5 Decrease Focus 8 Iris Down 3 Freeze Frame 6 Auto-Focus 9 Iris Normal Screen Control The up arrow will raise the screens; the down arrow will lower the screens; and the stop button will stop screen movement. One press will only control screen 1; a double press will control both. 10
