2 Employee & Program Development FAQ s WHAT IS YAP UNIVERSITY? YAP University is YAP s Learning Management System. Every employee has an account and can access the training content that you have been given permission to view. YAP University is accessed through single sign on technology through your Ultipro account. Login at go to Menu>Myself>Career Development and find the YAP University link on the right sidebar. You can also access the site directly at this link ( using your employee number as username and password. WHAT IS A WEBINAR? Webinars are training sessions that occur over the internet in a classroom where a training presentation is viewed with a live trainer and interaction between participants and the trainer. YAP s webinars are conducted through the WebEx, but you will register for and can access the link to the session through your YAP University account. In order to participate in a webinar, you must have access to an internet-connected computer and a telephone line. WHAT IS A SELF-LEARNING? Self-learning trainings are courses in YAP University that occur over the internet and are viewed at your convenience and without a live instructor or interaction between you and anyone else. It can be a recorded webinar or a course that was created specifically to be taken on your own. A growing number of self-learnings are available via YAPU. HOW DO I KNOW WHAT WEBINARS ARE BEING OFFERED AND WHEN? You can go directly to YAP University and view the courses available for registration under each course page or via the calendar on the sidebar. HOW DO I REGISTER FOR A WEBINAR? Go to YAP University and Assigned Trainings. Find the course you need to take and click on the object name. Under Step 1 training, click REGISTER to see the class schedule. Complete registration for the date and time you wish to attend. WHAT IF I NEED TO CANCEL MY REGISTRATION? You may unregister for the class in YAP University the same way that you registered. Visit the course page via your Assigned Training section to see the button to unregister. I M AN INTERN AND I DON T HAVE AN ULTIPRO ACCOUNT. HOW CAN I ACCESS YAP UNIVERSITY? There is a self-registration portal for unpaid interns who do not have an Ultipro account. Go to and complete the registration form to create a YAP University account. You will need to provide your name, , state and program number and create your own password. Once you have created an account, you can access your YAP University account at this address:

3 WHAT DO I NEED TO DO AND WHERE DO I NEED TO BE TO PARTICIPATE ON A WEBINAR OR TO GO ONTO YAPU? For a webinar, you can be anywhere with a computer and Internet access, a phone and computer speakers or headphones (It is suggested that you are in a private location that will allow your concentration and focus, as you are expected to participate during the webinar via the phone and/or chat log). For YAPU, you need to be somewhere with a computer with internet access. It is recommended that you visit prior to attempting to join a webinar to view your computer s compatibility with WebEx and make sure that you have all the necessary requirements to join a WebEx session. You must be connected to BOTH the WebEx (visual presentation) and the telephone conference (audio portion) to get full credit for the training. If you are unable to connect to one portion, you will need to reschedule. HOW DO I LOG INTO A WEBINAR? You will receive an initial confirmation and a reminder 30 minutes before your scheduled session from messenger@webex.com. Within the will be a link to join the session and the audio conference . Session info is also available in YAP University where you registered for the training. A link to the WebEx session and audio conference information is listed on the course page. If this is the first time that you have ever used WebEx from your computer, you will most likely see a Pop-Up Box near the top of webpage telling you that you need to install or download software. Click the box and choose to Install Active X. This is completely safe for your computer. You can choose to RUN it or SAVE it onto your computer. Either way, it only takes approximately 2 minutes to complete. It is suggested that you log in at least 5 minutes before the session to allow time for any technical difficulties, and to ensure a prompt start time. If you encounter any problems logging into the session, please contact training@yapinc.org.

4 THIS IS WHAT THE WEBINAR REGISTRATION PROCESS LOOKS LIKE: Webinar registration now occurs through YAP University. Always register for webinars through the Assigned Training section of your account if the training is listed there. From your Assigned Trainings, click on the course name. For BAT 2-9, and Integrity Compliance, Step 1 is the training portion. Click on the training to see available webinar dates. 1) Click Register under Step 1 to reveal the Class Schedule below 2) Click Register next to the webinar date you want to attend; a new window will pop up 3) Click Register in the pop up window a. A confirmation will be sent with the webinar information and link b. Webinar information and link is also available on the course page where you just registered 4) Information about the class you registered for is now available on the course page. This is where you can unregister for the class if needed ** Always register through the course page under your Assigned Training. You may use the calendar feature to view available webinars, but if you register through the calendar, it will not be reflected through your Assigned Training.

5 THIS IS WHERE YOU CAN FIND THE INFORMATION TO JOIN THE WEBINAR To participate in a webinar, you need access to a computer with internet access and a phone. In order to get credit for the training, you must be connected to BOTH the visual presentation (WebEx) and the audio conference (telephone). If you are unable to connect to one of those portions, you will need to reschedule and attend another training. You will need to have previously registered for a webinar (see instructions above). Once you are registered, information about how to connect to your webinar (link to the WebEx and telephone number) can be found in two places: 1) Confirmation from WebEx. (You will receive this at the time of registration if you have an address associated with your Ultipro account.) 1 You will also receive an reminder 30 minutes prior to the session. 2) YAP University course page where you registered. 2
