2 Setup How does FDEM create a Damage Assessments feature service Implementation What solutions does FDEM use to conduct Damage Assessments Coordination DAMAGE ASSESSMENTS What can FDEM provide to Counties to assist in conducting Initial Damage Assessments (IDAs) and more closely coordinate County IDA deliverables to the State from Counties with established IDA collection methods.

5 DAMAGE ASSESSMENTS - IMPLEMENTATION State Preliminary Damage Assessments (PDAs) conducted by FDEM Recovery Individual Assistance (IA) Staff Collector for ArcGIS used as mobile solution to conduct and report PDAs Android RangerX Tablets used in the field by IA Staff

7 DAMAGE ASSESSMENTS - IMPLEMENTATION Web app created to filter assessed PDAs and provide ability to export data to CSV file
8 DAMAGE ASSESSMENTS - COORDINATION Coordination during PDA process with Counties whom have no established GIS infrastructure If County has no GIS infrastructure or established IDA collection method then that County can use FDEM s County-specific web maps to conduct Damage Assessments County-specific web maps created using a County filter on Statewide Damage Assessment feature service County will be responsible for hardware, i.e Tablets, MiFi but Collector for ArcGIS is free download County web maps would be shared in a Group in FDEM s ArcGIS Online Geoportal that provides the County access to the web map through Collector for ArcGIS
9 DAMAGE ASSESSMENTS - COORDINATION Coordination during PDA process with Counties whom already have an established Damage Assessment collection method Three deliverable methods for Counties to provide IDA data to State Map Service File Geodatabase Spreadsheet IDAs preloaded into County-specific web maps for State IA Team visibility in the field conducting Preliminary Damage Assessments and a Operations Dashboard for greater visibility in the State EOC Allows State to quickly identify areas in County that have already been assessed

12 INITIAL DAMAGE ASSESSMENTS SPREADSHEET DELIVERABLE OF AN EXCEL SPREADSHEET TO STATE CONTAINING THE FOLLOWING FIELDS (NOTE NO SPACES IN FIELD NAMES): Damage_Level (Required) Street_Address (Required) Bldg_Ste (Required) City (Required) Zip (Required) County (Required) Latitude (If Applicable) Longitude (If Applicable) Notes (Optional) Attachment (If Applicable) THE SPREADSHEET WILL BE GEOCODED USING PROVIDED ADDRESS OR LATITUDE/LONGITUDE INFORMATION IF THE COUNTY IS PROVIDING DAMAGE PHOTOS WITH THEIR SPREADSHEET THEN AN ADDITIONAL ATTACHMENT FIELD INDICATING THE PHOTO NAME/NUMBER IS REQUESTED TO ASSIST APPENDING TO A RELATIONAL ATTACHMENT TABLE
