3 Introduction This guide is designed to help users at Mount Sinai PPS partner organizations get started with Community Gateway. This includes instructions on how to gain access to Community Gateway, complete the necessary training to gain access to a range of applications in Community Gateway, and navigate the solution as seamlessly as possible. Community Gateway Checklist Use this checklist to successfully request access and get started with the Community Gateway Request Community Gateway access Request access to the Clinical Integration Learning Center (CILC) Complete HIPAA training in CILC Discuss with your organization s Partner Lead or your supervisor what applications to request through Community Gateway Request access to applications using the Community Gateway Application Access tool on your dashboard Step 1: Request for Community Gateway Access (Two methods) There are two ways of obtaining access to Community Gateway. Method #1 Speak to your organization s IT lead to access Community Gateway Method #2: Log into Community Gateway using the network login credentials you use to log into your organization s systems 1. Navigate to the MSPPS Website at the following URL: Select Login". January

4 2. If your organization is Active Directory (AD) intergrated, log in with your network login credentials. Hint: this will be the same address and password used to log in to other systems within your organization. Click Sign In. If not AD integrated, consult your IT Lead. 3. Set up Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA). Click Configure Factor to set up required secret security question 4. Select a question from the dropdown list and type in your answer to the question. Click Save. 5. You also have the option to use your phone number as a secondary factor. Click on Setup and follow the steps below. If you choose not to setup a secondary factor, click on Finish and proceed to step 8. January

5 6. Enter your mobile phone number into the box, click on Send code. 7. You will receive a numeric code via SMS (text message) to your mobile device. Enter this code into the Enter Code box, click on Verify. 8. Your Community Getway dashboard will be displayed. Step 2: Request Access to the Clinical Integration Learning Center & Complete HIPAA Compliance Training Step 2A: Clinical Integration Learning Center Access Once you gain access into Community Gateway, it is important that you first access the Clinical Integration Learning Center (CILC). You will need to complete your required compliance training through CILC before you can use Community Gateway. Additionally, through CILC, you can access additional resources and training tools to guide you throughout your experience in Community Gateway. Instructions guides, videos, and FAQ documents are available for each application. Additionally, you ll have an opportunity to participate in valuable training courses. January

6 1. In your Community Gateway Dashboard, select the CILC icon. You will be directed to the CILC Application Request page. 2. Begin selecting from the drop-down list the appropriate information for the reqiured fields (marked with a *) Click Next Step 2B: HIPAA Compliance 3. In the summary page, verify that the information entered is correct. Click Submit Request. Allow 3-5 days to receive on granted access. Before you can fully utilize Community Gateway and the applications within it, you must complete the HIPAA training. Once you ve been granted CILC access, access the HIPAA course in CILC using the following link: Note: You may be prompted to enter your username ( address) and password again. If CILC does not automatically open after clicking on the above link, a pop-up blocker may be preventing you from opening the application. To turn-off the pop-up blocker, click Allow at the top right of your webpage. January

7 1. To navigate the HIPAA course, click on the Web- Based Training tile 2. Under the Compliance section select Click here to start this course 3. After completing the training, a certificate will appear to indicate that you have completed the course. Please save this certificate for your records. Congratulations! Step 3: Application Access Once you ve completed HIPAA, discuss with your Partner Lead on what applications to request. A full list of the applications and its descriptions are available in CILC under Community Gateway Application Resources or here on the MSPPS website. 1. Login to Community Gateway. Select Application Access on the Community Gateway Dashboard. January

8 2. Select the application(s) you d like to request, as directed by your Application Approver. At the bottom left select your Application Approver from the drop-down list. Click Request for Access. 3. On the summary page, verify the application and approver selected. Click Submit Request. Once your request has been approved, the tile(s) for the requested application(s) will be available on your Community Gateway dashboard. You can begin using these applications by clicking the associated tile. Step 4: Start Accessing Community Gateway Via Mobile App Now that you are able to get into Community Gateway, you can access Community Gateway on your mobile device. Community Gateway Access via Mobile App 1. In order to access Community Gateway via mobile application, you first need to download the application from the App Store (iphone users) or Google Play (Android Users) Note: There is no charge to download this application January

9 2. Type in Community Gateway into the Search bar to find the application. 3. Download the application onto your phone. 4. Click on the Community Gateway icon on your screen to launch the mobile app once successfully downloaded. 5. You will be brought to the Community Gateway log-in screen where you must enter your log-in credentials to access the Community Gateway dashboard. January

10 6. After log-in, you will be brought to the Community Gateway Dashboard to access all of your applications. Note: To access the public Mount Sinai PPS website, please click on the Mount Sinai logo at the top of the webpage. How do I get more help?
