1 Product Retirement Notice PRN #10-23 December 6, 2010 Honeywell Announces End of Life Plan for Dolphin 7850 Mobile Computer This notice serves as formal communication of Honeywell Scanning & Mobility s intent to discontinue the following product(s): Product Name Part Number Description Dolphin XX-XX-XXXXX All Dolphin 7850 terminal standard and stocking SKUs This notice serves as notification of retirement for Dolphin 7850 series terminal standard and stocking SKUs. These SKUs are designated as STD or STK under the SKU Type column listed in the Honeywell Scanning and Mobility price guides. Dolphin 7850 peripherals and accessories are excluded from this retirement notice and will remain available for order. Please contact your Honeywell representative if you are unsure whether a part number you have ordered is included in the retirement notice. Regions Affected: Asia Pacific (AP) Latin America (LA) Europe, Middle East, Africa (EMEA) North America (NA) Reason for Retirement: Due to discontinuation of components by suppliers and the availability of replacement products, the Dolphin 7850 will retire effective the timeline outlined below. Timeline of Events: Last Time Buy: Honeywell will not accept orders after this date February 25, 2011 Last Time Ship: Honeywell will not ship product after this date May 2, 2011 Stock Rotation Request: Honeywell will not accept requests for stock rotation after this date January 10, 2011 Stock Rotation Return: Honeywell must receive all final stock rotated units by this date January 31, 2011 End of Service: Honeywell will not offer spare parts or servicing of units after this date December 31, 2015 Replacement Options: Honeywell is pleased to offer two product replacement options for the Dolphin 7850 the Dolphin 6500 series and the Dolphin 9950 series. Both models offer the latest technologies and are capable of performing the same tasks as the Dolphin 7850, including the ability to run existing customer applications with minimum code changes. The Dolphin 6500 is a compact, rugged flashlight-style mobile computer that can be used as such or converted into a handle-style device by attaching the optional handle accessory (6500-Handle). The Dolphin 9950 is an industrial-class, handle-style mobile computer and is available with a wide range of bar code scanning, radio, and keyboard options.

Dolphin 7850 Series Spare Parts: Honeywell will continue to accept Dolphin 7850 series mobile computer spare part orders from Honeywell authorized service providers. Honeywell authorized service providers (ASPs) will need to submit forecast orders to their local service centers for 7850 spare parts by February 25, 2011.
