5 Mac SETUP 6 The computer will automatically attempt to pair with the eclips2 with its default settings, but will fail due to the wrong pairing code. Select the Passcode options 7 Select the Use a specific passcode and enter 1234 in the provided box 8 9 After a successful pairing, close the Bluetooth setup window by selecting Quit Open up the ecal or ecal2 software and select the Cutter icon on the top tool bar PAGE 5

6 Mac SETUP 10 Select the Bluetooth option under the Connection drop down menu 11 Under the Port drop down menu, select /dev/cu.cutter-hm Click on the Test Connection button. If the blade holder on the eclips2 moves, then the connection has been established. If it doesn t move, then please consult the Bluetooth Troubleshooting Guide. PAGE 6

8 ipad SETUP 4 Choose the Bluetooth LE option under the Connection menu 5 Select CUTTER BLE under the Port menu 6 Push the Test Connection button. 10 Android SETUP 6 Access the Cutter window, which is the last icon on the top tool bar 7 Under the Connection menu, select Bluetooth 8 Under the Port menu, select the device address that has CUTTER in parantheses 9 Push the Test Connection button. 11 by Sizzix Electronic Cutter PC, Mac, ipad and Android Tablet Bluetooth Instructions TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE How do I turn on the Bluetooth on the Sizzix eclips2? On the eclips2 LCD, push the Menu button twice. If it says blue connect, then the Bluetooth is on. If it reads blue off, then the Bluetooth is off. To turn it on, push the right arrow button once so it reads blue connect. Push the Menu button to return to the main menu. The eclips2 will not work until it is back on the main menu where it reads Sizzix eclips2 on the LCD. How do I turn on the Bluetooth on my computer? On a PC, you can access your Bluetooth menu on the bottom right corner of the screen under the Show hidden icons menu. Or, you can go through the Control Panel to access the Printers and Devices menu, where you can add a Bluetooth device. On a Mac, the Bluetooth menu is on the top right tool bar. Just click on the Bluetooth icon and select Bluetooth On. If Bluetooth On is grayed out then the Bluetooth is already on. On both Android tablets and ipads, the Bluetooth can be turned on in the Settings menu. I am trying to pair my computer with the eclips2, but it doesn t show up on my list of available Bluetooth devices. Try the following suggestions: 1. Make sure the eclips2 is turned on 2. Make sure you have the Bluetooth version of the Sizzix eclips2 3. Look for Cutter2 or CUTTER2 on the list of devices 4. Turn off the Bluetooth setting on your computer and turn it back on 5. Refresh the list of available Bluetooth devices 6. Power off the eclips2 and power it on 7. Make sure your eclips2 is no more than 15 feet away from your computer or tablet 8. Make sure your eclips2 isn t paired to any other devices I hit the Test Connection button and nothing happens. Make sure you press the OK button on the next popup window to start the test. If the blade carriage doesn t move back and forth, then make sure that your port and connection are correct. Also, ensure that the Port is not left on <Auto detect> PAGE 11
