1 About Geocloud.work Geoсloud.work is a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) and Data-as-a-Service (DaaS) worldwide cloud-based platform, which enables working with existing geospatial desktop software and data through remote desktop technology (RDP) on a Pay-per-Use basis. Pay-per-use business model for geospatial data greatly simplifies purchasing of the data for projects. 2 Start working Start Working To start working, just push one of the buttons on the landing page. You will be forwarded to the Registration page with several standard options for registration After the registration, you are directly getting into main workflow pages: 1. Select Applications 2. Review and Activate 3. Start working 2 P a g e

3 1. Select Applications Select Application/s you need to work with. You can sort the Applications out upon Companies or Categories selections or just by entering the required Application name in the Search window. After having selected the required Applications, push the 2. Review and Activate to enter the next page of the workflow. 3 P a g e

4 2. Review and Activate This page shows the Applications you have selected, the configuration of the computer for each Application, and Storage where all your data will be stored. All selected Applications will use the same Storage. Note!!! The Storage must be large enough to store all of your data from all Applications. The Storage size can vary from 1 GB to 10 TB. If you need a larger Storage, please contact us. Using the moving sliders, you can easily estimate possible cost of using the selected Applications. You can select several identical Applications and choose Storage size that will be available for all of your Applications. You can also delete the Applications. Payment for work with Applications is made at the beginning of each month for hours of work with Applications in the previous month. Having selected Applications and Storage, click the button Create Applications and you will be forwarded to the third page of the workflow 3. Start Working 4 P a g e

5 3. Start Working The Storage should be launched first. Click button Start Storage to start. After the message Storage running appeared go to the File Manager tab and upload your data for further processing (more info see below) 5 P a g e

6 After having uploaded all data, start all selected applications by clicking Start Computer During start of Storage and Computers, messages associated with their different cost in different operation modes, Running and Stopped, will appear. Pay attention to them - they help to save your money!!! After Computer starts working, the message Open Desktop appears Clicking on saves the RDP file of the selected application on your home computer and the following message appears in the bottom of the screen Google Chrome: Open Desktop 6 P a g e

7 Microsoft Edge Internet Explorer After clicking on the Open button, the Remote Desktop Connection window appears. Clicking the Connect button, bring you to Enter your credentials window 7 P a g e

8 Click on the Copy password button (this can be done as soon as it appeared on the screen) In Internet Explorer, the Password should be copied manually. Return to the Enter your credentials window and enter the copied password using the command Ctrl-V (or Command-V for Mac users). Click on OK button and you will be immediately forwarded to the RDP window of the chosen application We wish you successful work! 8 P a g e

9 File manager The File Manager tab serves for uploading and downloading data: There are several functions for storage and file management Create folder, Upload files, Multiple files transfer. 11 The Multiple files transfer functions dedicated to multiple files and large data upload/download with help of SFTP (SSH File Transfer Protocol or Secure File Transfer Protocol): For multiple and large files uploading and downloading you can use any SFTP client, e.g. FileZilla client ( You have to install the SFTP client on your local computer and use the SFTP credentials host, port, user and password, to transfer files. The Copy function from the right side of every bar is used to copy the credentials to the SFTP client program. 11 P a g e

12 The following is a window of FileZilla, the free FTP solution. Both a client and a server are available. FileZilla is an open source software distributed free of charge under the terms of the GNU General Public License. 13 Billing The Start working page contains also the Billing information and different options for payment settings. There are two sub-pages here: Monthly charges and Payment settings Monthly charges The Monthly charges page presents customer s accumulated hour-by-hour expenses in the form of monthly report. The report is updated every hour according to real use of different Applications and Storage. The report may be downloaded in the PDF format. The report shows the monthly sum customer will be charged in the beginning of next month. 13 P a g e

14 Payment setting The Payment setting page presents two methods of payment: Monthly pay-per-use method and One-time payment. Choosing Monthly pay-per-use method customer provides his credit card credentials for continuous use of the services provided by Geocloud.work - use of software, storage, communication means, support etc. Customer s credit card will be charged at the beginning of every next month, only for hours actually used in previous month. 15 Limit monthly subscription Cancel subscription or change credit card Choosing One-time payment method customer provides his credit card credentials only for one-time payment limited by the sum defined by customer. In this case, the charge Deposit will be made immediately with pushing the button and customer will be credited the sum time to work with selected Applications and Storage. 15 P a g e

16 Subscribe Deposit Pushing the or button brings customer to the page where credit card credentials are entered: Subscription Deposit The charging operations are executed by FastSpring ( and all the credit card credentials are secured by FastSpring and are never handled by GeoCloud. 16 P a g e
