2 1. ARC My Preferences New User Preferences tile preferences 1. Click the User Preferences tile in the right, corner of the ARC main portal screen. The screen on the next page displays where you have the option to select the type of s you would like to receive. Click the checkbox to the corresponding mail type you would like to receive. You may select none, any or all of the checkboxes. 2
3 Click Save to apply your selections. The address entered in the Primary Address field also becomes the default address when you need to send a report to yourself using the My Documents option. Click the printer icon in the right, top corner of the ARC home screen. The main My Documents screen displays as shown in the next screenshot. 3
4 Click the Document button on the above screen and the Send Document as Attachment screen displays. The primary address populates the To: field so you no longer have to enter an address every time you want to send yourself a spool file or report. 4
5 2. ARC Documentation Click the Documentation tile for a direct link to the MBS Systems Service Center site. The main service center screen displays as shown in the screenshot detail below. Click the Documentation tab. The Systems Services documentation main screen displays as shown in the next screenshot. If you receive an authorization screen after clicking the Documentation tab, please use your assigned login and password for the site. If you need a login and password, contact your client representative. 5

7 3. ARC Textbook Features More Book Information Located througout several of the ARC screens is the More Book Information button. Click this button to roll through key book information. This update conveniently includes the book information all on one screen. 7
8 Maintain Adoptions New feature by position to by section 1. This new setting may be viewed by clicking Texbooks from the main ARC Menu. 2. Click the Adoptions tab and hover on Maintain Adoptions. 8
9 3. The Maintain Adoptions screen displays with the Section field as shown below. Section Field added to Course Book Inquiry screen 1. The Section Field also has been added to the Course Book Inquiry screen. From the Adoptions Menu screen, click the Inquiry tab at the top of the screen and hover on the Course/Book Inquiry. 9
10 2. The Course/Book Inquiry screen displays with the Section search field. 10
11 New Work with Textbook option A new Work with Textbooks option has been added to dropdown menu. Some of the highlights of this new option includes the following: View all Textbooks adopted for specific term or all terms. Work with Book Info, Update Rental Info, Inventory, Order Qty Info, Book/Course Info, Pricing From One Screen. Set All Rental Flags from Same Screen. 1. Click the Adoptions button and hover on Work with Textbooks. 11
12 2. If there is not a term in the term field, a list of all books in the local database will display after clicking Save. If a term shows on the Store and Term Selections heading, a list of all books in the selecteced term next screen, a list of all books in the local database will display after clicking Save. 3. Click the Save button at the bottom of the screen to save the books for the W16 term. The next screen displays with the term s textbooks. 12

14 Update Book Info 1. Click the Update Book Info tab. 2. The book detail screen displays on the next page. 14

16 Update Rental Info 1. Click the Update Rental Info button on Work with Textbooks screens. 2. The screen on the next page displays and contains the Allow Rentals button. Click Yes or No to allow rentals for the selected title. 16

18 Inventory 1. Click the Inventory button after selecting a title to work with the book list. 2. The screen on the following page displays with options to manage inventory in one screen location. 18

20 Order Quantity Info 1. Click the Order Qty Info button. 2. The screen on the next page displays with options to work with book order quantities on the same screen. 20

22 Book/Course Info and Pricing 1. Click the Update Book Info button. 2. The new screen that displays on the next page consolidates all book and course information on the same screen. 22

24 4. ARC New features Assist in Setting Prices Display Affiliate Pricing from insite 1. Select a book to work with from the textbook list and click the Update Book Info button. 2. The screen at the top of the next page displays with book information. Click the Prices button on the right portion of the screen. 24
25 3. After clicking the Prices button, the next screen displays. Click the View Affiliate Pricing button. 25
26 4. Note that this message displays in red text at the top of screen: Competitive prices are in effect as indicated in red. No upd allowed. The following screen displays after clicking View Affiliate Pricing. A pop-up window shows the pricing. 26
27 New Average Book Cost option This new option gives you the ability to analyze the average cost of a Textbook by reviewing the average invoice cost and buyback purchase price. 1. The new Calculuate Average Cost is included in the book information screen under the Selection Criteria heading. Select a store with the store dropdown and narrow a search by using the date-range calendar. 2. If you leave the store field empty, all activiity is included for the selected title acoss all stores. Click the Calculate Average Cost button after selecting a date range. You may also include the search to Invoices and/or include Buyback Information. 3. The screen updates after clicking the Calculate Average Cost button and the following message displays at the top of the screen in red text: Average cost calculated. Press Previous or specify other include dates. The New and Used Prices also update as shown at the bottom of the screen. 27
28 Textbook Pricing adds new option to manually set, lock in competitive prices 1. Click the Pricing tab under the Options heading. 2. The screen on the next page displays with the new Enter Competitive Prices tab. 28
29 3. Click the Enter Competitive prices button. 4. Enter the competitive price in the two corresponding fields for New and Used Retail. 29
