2 TABLE OF CONTENTS With this guide, you will be able to update your Faculty Profiles on TERMINALFOUR(t4). I. T4 OVERVIEW 2 II. OFFICE HOURS... 3 III. RELATED COURSES... 4 IV. 3 I. T4 OVERVIEW To begin, log into MyTC Portal and look for the TC Bookmarks section on the left hand side of the screen, click the [+] icon to open Computing and Technology and then select TerminalFour Site Manager. When you first log in to the T4 Site Manager, you will be presented with a list of content to which you have been granted access. The Faculty Profile folder will be the highest level, while its many pages will be their own branches (with a file cabinet or folder icon). Home, Vitae, and Files are subfolders within Faculty Profile. Faculty Profile Site Structure The Faculty Profile section contains the following information that you can add or edit: Display Name, Additional Title, Office Hours, Personal Website, Related Courses, Related Articles, and Profile Picture. The Home section is composed of the following subsections: Educational Background, Scholarly Interests, and Selected Publications. The Vitae section are composed of multiple subsections. Within these subsections, you can add content related to your vitae. The Files section is used to add downloadable content such as a pdf or word document. The File-Downloads content type will be used to add each file. For additional assistance, see video at: 2
4 II. OFFICE HOURS STEP 1: Next to your Faculty Profile folder, hover over the inverted triangle icon STEP 2: From the dropdown menu, click on Modify Content. STEP 3: Next to your content item, hover over the inverted triangle icon. STEP 4: From the dropdown menu, click on Modify. STEP 5: Scroll down to Office Hours and enter your information. STEP 6: Click on when you are done. STEP 7: Approve your changes. See Content Approval for more information. For additional assistance, see video at: 3

RELATED COURSES STEP 1: Next to your Faculty Profile folder, hover over the inverted triangle icon STEP 2: From the dropdown menu, click on Modify Content STEP 3: Next to your content item, hover over the inverted triangle icon. STEP 4: From the dropdown menu, click on Modify. STEP 5: Scroll down to Related Courses to enter your Course Code/s. The code format is: Dept. Code followed by the course number, with no spaces in between. STEP 6: Click on when you are done. STEP 7: Approve your changes. See Content Approval for more information. PROFILE IMAGE & SECONDARY BANNER STEP 1: Next to your Faculty Profile folder, hover over the inverted triangle icon STEP 2: From the dropdown menu, click on Modify Content STEP 3: Next to your content item, hover over the inverted triangle icon. STEP 4: From the dropdown menu, click on Modify. STEP 5: Scroll down to Profile Picture, click on Choose file and select your image from your computer. The ideal size of this image is: 400 x 600 pixels. STEP 6: Scroll down to Banner Picture, click on Choose file and select your image from your computer. The ideal size of this image is: 800 x 300 STEP 7: Click on to save. STEP 8: Approve your changes. See Content Approval for more information. For additional assistance, see video at: 5
7 V. RELATED ARTICLES STEP 1: Next to your Faculty Profile folder, hover over the inverted triangle icon STEP 2: From the dropdown menu, click on Modify Content. STEP 3: Next to your content, hover over the inverted triangle icon. STEP 4 : From the dropdown menu, click on Modify. STEP 5: Scroll down t o Related Articles and enter the article s code. Each TC news article will now have a special id code. Your online article can be linked to your Faculty Profile by entering this code. In this sample article, the code ( ) can be found under Related Stories links. For multiple articles, type in each code and separate it by a comma. STEP 6: Click on when you are done. STEP 7: Approve your changes. See Content Approval for more information. 6
8 VI. ADDING CONTENT TO HOME & VITAE PAGE The Home and Vitae section is composed of multiple subfolders. For example: Home has the following sections: Educational Background, Scholarly Interests, & Selected Publications. To add content within Home or Vitae, you will need to add a content type within a subfolder. STEP 1: Next to one of the subsections within the Home or Vitae folder, hover over the triangle icon. STEP 2: On the dropdown menu, click on Add Content. STEP 3: This will bring up a list of various content types you can choose from. The following is a list of the most used content types: Title and Copy : A Title (Heading, subheading, minor heading fields) and a block of text can be entered (Copy Field). Image and Title : An image and a header title can be entered. Image Title and Copy : An image, header, and corresponding text can be entered. File-Downloads: This content type is used to add a file to your profile, such as.pdf or.doc documents. This content type should be used in your Files folder. STEP 4: Once you have selected your content type, fill out the necessary fields. STEP 5: Once you updated the form, click on to save. STEP 6: Approve your changes. 9 VII. EDITING CONTENT ON HOME & VITAE PAGE STEP 1: Next to your subsection within the Home or Vitae folder, hover over the inverted triangle icon STEP 2: Click on Modify Content. STEP 3: Now select the content item you would like to edit by placing the mouse on the triangle icon. STEP 4 : Click on Modify. STEP 5: Once you updated the field, click on to save. STEP 6: Approve your changes. See Content Approval for more information. 8

ADDING FILES STEP 1: Next to your Files folder, hover over the inverted triangle icon STEP 2: From the dropdown menu, click on Add Content STEP 3: From the list of content types, select File - Downloads STEP 4: Enter information for the following text fields: Name, Title (This text will be displayed on the link of the file), Description (Optional), and Upload File. STEP 5: Select the file you want to upload by clicking on Choose File. STEP 6: (Optional) If you would like to add an Icon to represent the type of downloadable file, you can add the following: For a pdf file, type in: file-pdf-o For a word file, type in: file-word-o STEP 7: Once you are done, click on to save. EDITING FILES STEP 1: Next to your Files folder, hover over the inverted triangle icon STEP 2: Click on Modify Content on the dropdown menu STEP 3: Select the file that you would like to edit, hover over the triangle icon Modify, and click on STEP 4: Edit the appropriate text fields. STEP 5: Click on when you are done. STEP 6: Approve your changes. See Content Approval for more information. 10
12 X. DELETING CONTENT STEP 1: To delete content from a section, you will need to locate the content s section. Next to your section (Files) or subsection (sections within Home or Vitae), hover over the inverted triangle STEP 2: Click on Delete Content under the dropdown menu. STEP 3: Click the checkbox next to the content you want to delete. STEP 4: Click on when you re done. Note: when you delete content, this content item will not be deleted immediately. The deleted item will become inactive and will not be shown on your live site. If you change your mind, you will have a certain amount of time to reactive the item. The system will purge all inactive items once, at the end of the week. To reactivate a previously deleted content item, you must modify and click on to save. STEP 5: Approve your changes. 13 XI. CONTENT APPROVAL The final step to the adding or modifying existing content is approving your own content. STEP 1: On T4 s homepage. On the right side, you will see a box named Approval List. Click on View All. STEP 2: Select the item you want to approve by checking on the checkbox under Approve. STEP 3: Click on 12
