1 Run Specifi by clicking on the icon on your Desktop. Note: If you are using a demo version, once the program is loaded, a message will tell you the remaining days of the evaluation period. The main screen of the PDM module of Specifi displays the Project created. Double click on it to see its plans. Double click on PL-03 RESTAURANT FIRST FLOOR. Pag. 1

2 This will open the window for the selected plan in which you can view the documents it contains. In our case, we will find the DWG file of our project. On the right side, you can see our drawing on the black screen. Double click on the new Current-01 DWG file, to open it in the CAD Environment. Pag. 2

3 Switch from model space to paper space A0 using the appropriate label at the bottom above the command line. Click on the Layout tab of Specifi toolpalette and click the command 2D/3D views. Select the viewpoint ISOMETRIC SW, the scale factor will be set automatically to FIT. View: Isometric SW Scale: FIT Pag. 3

4 Then click the OK button to confirm. Note: depending on the point of view selected, Specifi will enable or not the possibility to choose the vieport settings. For example it is not possible to set the scale factor for the isometric views. Differently from the first plan view, with Autosize option disabled, Specifi will ask you to identifi the two opposite corners of the viewport. Insert the viewport between the first plan view and the technical legend already inserted before. Left click to identify the top left corner and another click for the bottom right corner. The Isometric SW 3D viewport will be inserted. Pag. 4

5 In the same way you can add another ISOMETRIC SE viewport. Choosing the two corners to draw the viewport, you can also start from right and move to left. Selecting the border of the vieport you can also resize it using the 4 grips. Note that the border of the vieports will not be printed by default, because the 500-mview, layer that contains the vieports, has the Plot property disabled. Open Layer Properies command to change the Plot property for 500-mview layer if needed. Pag. 5

6 To draw an elevation viewport we suggest you to use the Section line command in the model space. Come back to the model space, move in plan view and run Section line command. If you want you can change the Elevation ID (E.g. A, B, C, or 1, 2, 3,.). Zoom in the Kitchen area and draw a line from left to right, in front of the cooking equipment. Pag. 6

7 The section line 1-1 will be inserted. Repeat now the same procedure to insert another section line 2-2 in front of dishwashing equipment. Zoom in the Dishwashing area and draw a line from top to the bottom, in front of the equipment. The section line 2-2 will be inserted. Pag. 7

8 From the Model space, come back to A0 sheet. Use again the command VIEW 2D / 3D from the Specifi Layout toolpalette and choose the last vieport Elevation Set the scale factor to 1:20. View: Elevation Scale: 1:20 Elevation ID: 1-1 Remove the options Autosize and Lock view. Then click the OK button to confirm. Move the mouse to the left under the plan view and click with the left button to identify the two opposite corners of the rectangle in which the view will be inserted. Pag. 8

9 Repeat the same procedure to insert also the second elevation view 2-2. Use again the command VIEW 2D / 3D from the Specifi Layout toolpalette and choose the last vieport Elevation Set the scale factor to 1:20. View: Elevation Scale: 1:20 Elevation ID: 2-2 Remove the options Autosize and Lock view. Then click the OK button to confirm. Move the mouse to the left under the elevation view 1-1 and click with the left button to identify the two opposite corners of the rectangle in which the view will be inserted. Pag. 9

10 If the elevation view is not completely visible, double click with the left button of the mouse inside the viewport and use the PAN command. Move the content of the view till obtaining the desired result. Note: If you leave the option "Block View" enabled in 2D/3D View, the PAN command will not work. However you can change it in AutoCAD or Bricscad Properties command (Set "Display Locked = NO ). All viewports just inserted are displayed in Wireframe (all lines are visible). Each viewport has a property, called Shade Plot, that you can set to change the shadow and print properly the layout. Select the vieport, clicking on it, right click and call the Properties command. Note: If you selected a vieport that contains also the label in the same group the Properties command will show only the common properties. Open the list at the top and select Vieport [1] to see the list of the properlies of the selected viewport. If the Shade Plot property has been set to As Displayed the vieport will be printed as it looks like in the layout. Change the value to Hidden or Legacy Hidden for the isometric and elevation viewports already inserted. Pag. 10

11 Run Plot Preview (or Print Preview) command it will show them with hidden shadow. Pag. 11
