Run Specifi by clicking on the icon on your Desktop. Note: If you are using a demo version, once the program is loaded, a message will tell you the remaining days of the evaluation period. The main screen of the PDM module of Specifi displays the Project created. Double click on it to see its plans. Double click on PL-02 RESTAURANT. Pag. 1
Documents (dwg, offers, orders) made with Specifi and their reviews. Preview of the selected document. Selected document information Area reserved for plan attachment: pdf, images, documents, MS Word, Excel that you can put inside the project folder. Pag. 2
Select the DWG document to open and double click on it to open the file in the CAD environment. From the new toolpalette of Specifi commands, select the tab Utilities or use directly the old command. Run the command Setup sheet to verify and eventually modify the settings of the drawing. Make sure to have set: Scale: 1:50 Measurment Unit: millimeters Draw language: International English (or choose a different language from the list ) Activate the option: LINE POSITION-MACHINE. Note: This option will serve to better identify the equipment inserted in the drawing. Pag. 3
From the new command toolpalette of Specifi, click on the first tab "Architectural". Click on the button Walls 2D/3D Make sure to have set: Width: 300 mm Height: mm Reference: right side (in this way Specifi will use the inner side as a reference) Confirm the settings by clicking "OK". Activate the button "ORTHO" positioned at the bottom next to the command line: this will allow you to work with orthogonal angles. You must specify a starting point from where to start to draw the wall. Then choose a point on the bottom to the left and click with the left mouse button: you just set the starting point. Remember that you are going to draw the line corresponding to the inside of your wall. Now move the mouse upwards (making sure to have the button "ORTHO" activated) so as to define the direction of construction. Now type the length of your wall, keeping in mind that you are drawing the inner side. Length: mm (type 9150) Pag. 4
Go on with the design of the next side of your wall, moving the mouse to the right to define the direction. Then type the length of the second portion: Length: 8500 mm (enter 8500) Move the mouse down to define the direction. Then enter the length of the third segment: Length: 6650 mm (enter 6650) Move the mouse to the left to define the direction. Then enter the length of the fourth portion: Length: 3200 mm (enter 3200) Move the mouse down to define the direction. Then enter the length of the fifth section: Length: 2500 mm (enter 2500) Pag. 5
At the end enter C from the keyboard to activate the option Close and press ENTER. "Close" will automatically create the last side of the room. The result will be as shown below. Note: When inserting walls,it is recommended to never interrupt the command by pressing the "ESC" key on your keyboard. In case you need to finish a section of wall, without using the "Close", use the ENTER key on the keyboard. To verify the correctness of your project so far achieved even in 3D, change the view by moving from plan view to an isometric view. To do this, use the VIEW toolbar Specifi. Pag. 6
Then return in the plan view to design the remaining walls. Now click on the "2D/3D WALLS" in the toolbar of the architectural elements of Specifi. Make sure to have set: Length: 150 mm Height: mm Reference: left side Select the Reference Check box, confirm the settings by clicking OK The Reference option is used to insert a wall at a precise distance from a known point (for example from a corner of a room). Move the mouse pointer towards the upper left until the END OSNAP symbol appears at the outer wall designed previously, then click the left mouse button to confirm the reference point. Move the mouse down to define the direction. Type, therefore, the from the reference point in order to draw the wall: distance Distance: 5540 mm (enter 5540) Press ENTER from the keyboard to confirm the distance Move the mouse to the left to define the direction. Then enter the length of the first section: Length: 2700 mm (enter 2700) Note: If the OSNAP is enabled and preset sometimes the desired OSNAP symbol does not appear. Change the settings of OSNAP setting to have only the symbols really necessary. Pag. 7
Repeat the same operation for the second internal wall. Click on the "2D/3D WALLS" in the toolbar of the architectural elements of Specifi. Make sure to have set: Length: 150 mm Height: mm Reference: right side (please note the reference is changed) Select the Reference Check box, confirm the settings by clicking OK The Reference option is used to insert a wall at a precise distance from a known point (for example from a corner of a room). Move the mouse pointer towards the upper left until the END OSNAP symbol appears at the outer wall designed previously, then click the left mouse button to confirm the reference point. Move the mouse down to define the direction. Type, therefore, the from the reference point in order to draw the wall: distance Distance: 2500 mm (enter 2500) Press ENTER from the keyboard to confirm the distance Move the mouse to the left to define the direction. Then enter the length of the first section: Length: 2700 mm (enter 2700) ENTER again to close the wall. Pag. 8
To verify the correctness of your project so far achieved even in 3D, change the view by moving from plan view to an isometric SE view. To do this, use the VIEW toolbar of Specifi. Then apply a drop shadow by choosing from the toolbar "VIEWS&STYLE" of Specifi the display style "Realistic Visual Style". Remember that you can change display modes by holding down the related button. Pag. 9
