1 GABE FEKETE SENIOR ANIMATOR & 3D DEVELOPER 15 Years Industry xp Over my career, I've facilitated a variety of roles at organizations dedicated to 3D software development, from animation, to the development of tools and pipelines. Technical and art direction, Design and software development, 3D modelling, Rendering and Visual Effects. CAD, BIM development for civil services and architecture. I have become accustomed to implementing systems with scripting methodologies such as MEL, Python, Javascript, Actionscript. Exposure and use of C# programming has also been a core discipline that enabled me to delve into Sharepoint, Web and Unity Engine development. Originally starting out as an Animator, I have transitioned to more advanced roles including Animation leadership positions, Rigging and Behavioural development, Motion capture liaison and choreography as well as managing external outsourcing artists through different time zones. Mentoring new staff members and teaching 3D at graduate Degree level. Developed various techniques to motion transfer animation data between unique characters with a lean team, allowing the designers to develop a very focused list of units for monetisation. Developed tools to easily refine animation assets and propagate into the Unity Engine. I maintained Model, Animation, VFX and Behavioural systems, allowing quick iteration during scrums and sprints. Lead a team of 5 animators, delegating tasks and workloads, encouraging individuals with higher skill sets in certain areas to take ownership over their chosen area. This enticed them to take on responsibility and have more pride in their work. Animated, Rigged and setup characters in the engine. Quickly iterating through functional requirements as the scope changed. Worked closely with designers and engineers in the refinement of functionality, and behavioural implementation.

Trained and created a pipeline for this system using lua script and Advanced Design Mechanics. Scheduled iterative animation reviews and revised task lists based on minutes with management team. Directed animation team in the setup of goals using agile development techniques. Agile software development over smaller application projects for sharepoint (Office 365) using Javascript, JQuery, PHP, HTML, CSS. Design of a C# based 3D component using unity. An Add on to the company asset management system that allows to navigate structure defects in a virtual environment. Structure Modelling, Texturing and animation using Maya, Vray and Mental ray. Reading of civil engineering plans, site photography, and client presentations. Marketing and client networking, promoting the avenues of services that the company can offer in 3D visualisation. Organizing meetings and discussions. EA GAMES: SENIOR ANIMATOR June 2009 October 2011 SENIOR ANIMATOR Lead Outsourcing and collaboration with external studios in Shanghai, China and Redwood Shores, US. Lead the character rigging process at EA shanghai remotely. Providing revision requests and supplying staff with reference documentation, and review outcomes. R&D Internal EA Animation tool, transitioned team of 5 Animators to new package. Provided support and training. R&D External animation tool, and constructed some pipelines to convert animation assets, saving upwards of 50% efficiency for animation engineering staff. Worked closely with programmers to implement cloth, physics and dynamics in the 3D Engine using Agile Development methodologies.

BIG ANT STUDIOS: SENIOR ANIMATOR November 2006 June 2009 Lead and Senior Animator Leading team of 5 animators in the Development of Rugby League.

Worked with motion-capture outsourcing company in initial clean-up and utilising animation data. Lead and Tracked animation assets from mocap to further cleanup with internal animation staff.

Organised animation reviews, block out meetings, sprint standups and managed daily asset creation. Directed motion-capture sessions. Worked with motion-capture outsourcing company in initial clean-up and utilising animation data. Lead and Tracked animation assets from mocap to further cleanup with internal animation staff. R&D Alias Maya, Motionbuilder, Endorphine, and ZBrush (3D Software). Trained and transitioned 25 Artists to the new package. Created workshops to expand internal skills, allowing ways to further develop staff expertise and increase morale. Establishing animation pipelines and creating tools using python, Javascript, and Mel. Animation and setup of lead game character and other characters, implemented with lead designer and animation engineers. TANTALUS INTERACTIVE ANIMATOR TECHNICAL ANIMATOR / ANIMATOR Rigged, scripted and animated Quadrupedal characters. Scripted Automatic rigging system in Maya for both biped and Quadrupeds. Designed and scripted a maya based custom retargetting tool for Quadrupedal characters, saving on the cost of animation staff. Game voted amongst top 5 selling titles in UK charts. Leading transition into Alias Maya from in house 3D tool. Provided mel scripting and training support for artists in specific modelling, and texturing workflows. Modelling, Texturing characters for various titles. Multiple pre-rendered promotional videos. Aided in the transition of 10 artists in the company from Autodesk 3D Studio Max and In house editor to Alias Maya Animated, Rendered and composited 3D shorts for promotional videos on games.
