1 PAUL WILSON GRAPHIC DESIGN: CURRICULUM VITAE Graphic designer experienced across a wide range of disciplines including brand identity, marketing, campaign literature, exhibition and event material for print and electronic media. With an intuitive ability to interpret client briefs and deliver creative solutions, within high pressured environments. Primarily a graphic designer for print, developing ideas from initial concept through to high-quality finished artwork. My core mac skills include Adobe CS s InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and Quark XPress. My previous position was as a Senior designer for the British Council, developed and the maintained organisation s corporate identity, including brand management and internal design support for international offices. Creating fresh, clean and legible design for a global audience. Liaising directly with clients and interpreting briefs within corporate guide lines into creative concepts to complete finished artwork. From corporate templates to promotional materials, brochures, catalogue, exhibition design, annual reports, presentation material to online graphics... everything an innovative and forward thinking organisation requires... Previous position included being employed as a freelance mac designer/operator for a recruitment agency completing long and short term contracts. Undertaken various creative, print production and finished artist positions, including McCann Erickson (Manchester) Creative Team, for a two year period as a creative mac operator. Also developed personal projects with direct clients to fuel and expand my creative aspirations and design skills, including illustration commissions. Although having worked mainly in a print based environment, I have collaborated and assisted web developers for front end development. And, have now expanded my skills to encompass web production. Designed and built sites for self development and have a base knowledge of Adobe Flash, HTML, CSS incorporating elements of jquery, PHP and Wordpress templates. At present I am working as self employed for direct clients while developing my on line skills and available for an immediate start.t
