Response Journals after reading -monthly literacy focused staff meetings -prior to Christmas -Ruth Culham s Write Traits to be highlighted, discussed and explored in all classrooms (all teaching staff) - Puzzle pieces to be printed and distributed by committee members to each classroom teacher. -Literacy Team will provide editing checklists for 1-3 and for 4-8 grade levels from the 6+1 Write Traits text. Provincial assessments in grade three. We want to administer our first assessment in late September / early October to help us better plan for individual students and use the results of the assessment to drive our teaching and planning and direction as a committee

Team meets to review assessments and collate data to share with staff. Plan the direction or our numeracy program. Identify required PD resources, manipulatives, for teachers to support in areas of concerns (inventory of numeracy resources). October mark and collate results of assessments (October 9 th deadline) Monthly numeracy meetings, one Wednesday a month for the remainder of the year. Last week of May 2 nd assessment administered. Numeracy Team will analyze, provide, and recommend based on assessment outcomes. Numeracy team will perform audit on numeracy resources in building. Individual class teachers will administer and mark assessment. Do an audit of Math inventory within our school. June comparison of progress and results of data shared with staff.
8 Social Emotional Well Being Goal Statement: Between June 2015 and June 2016, the percentage of students meeting the Canada norm for Social emotional outcomes will be above the Canadian norm/standard. Data is based on Tell Them From Me Survey and will be updated after collating the next data collection in November of Benchmark for Current Starting Point Benchmark for Expected Results (Outcome) Measures to Determine Degree of Benchmark Results What results do we have now? What results do we want? How will we know? Total: 69% Attendance and Participation of students in events/clubs 58% Student Participation in Sports Student Participation in Clubs Students with a Positive Sense of Belonging Total: 25% 50% Total: 78% 74% We want an increase in results / participation and to be above the for that outcome or below depending on the positivity of the outcome from year to year. Youth Health Survey School Survey reflections done by principal with all grades. So far survey completed with grade six, one grade seven class and grade eight classroom. Results will be tabulated and shared with the Social Emotional planning committee. Tell Them From Me Survey Student Risk Screening Scale Students with positive relationships Total: 84 % 74% EY survey (with buddies) Comment/suggestion box available for all students outside of office area. Suggestions/comments will be reviewed by committee at monthly meetings.
