2 Monday 8:30-9:15: Redstreak Reading Club 2 nd Grade Enrichment- This is the first day for the food drive. I want the kids to come up with a way to organize the canned food as it comes in. Each team will need to decorate and label a box for the classrooms they are responsible for. They will also need to make a note for each classroom teacher telling them where their specific box is located. Students will use Microsoft Word and Power Point for this project. 9:15-9:30: Planning 9:30-10:15: Mrs. Crocker How the Grinch Stole Christmas- Video clip. Discuss the characters in the video clip. What was your favorite part? Why? Why was the Grinch so mean and grumpy? What was the solution to the problem? Sequence- what happened first, next, last? 4 Wednesday 8:30-9:15:2 nd Grade Enrichment- Students will create a table in Power Point that includes date, preschool, kindergarten, 1 st, 2 nd, and 3 rd grade. Teams will need to go and collect and tally their specific box and report their totals on the board. All students will record all data on his/her table. 6 Friday 8:30-9:15: Redstreak Reading Club 2 nd Grade Enrichment- Each group will tally their specific boxes and add the new data to their table (PowerPoint). Students will begin to work on his/her power point for their upcoming presentation.
