2 Course Requirement, Policy, and Course Calendar Exam Information Exams via the Internet: Your first and second exams will be conducted via the internet. Students will receive detail information to complete the exam by the target date. The Exams are scheduled over the weekend. Since several of the students in DE classes travel, our exams are usually scheduled over the weekend starting on a Friday night and ending on a Saturday afternoon. This is not cast in stone but what has been done in the past. Exams are 4 hours in length and are timed via the website features. Your Final Exam will be administered by the Computer Science Department at the West Loop Campus. You must come in person for this exam one of the two days it is administered. It is a hands on exam given on a Friday or Saturday. You can refer to the syllabus for the exact dates of the final exam. The Computer Science Department does not give their exams in the same places that other DE classes do. Please be aware that our final for ITSW2334 will be given only at the Central Campus. The student must re-enroll to receive credit. COM (Completed) is given in non-credit and continuing education courses. To compute grade point average (GPA), divide the total grade points by the total number of semester hours attempted. The grades "IP," "COM" and "I" do not affect GPA. 5 homework will not be accepted!! Weekly homework assignments will be posted Sunday at noon of each week. The assignments you have to complete will be shown with the highlights for that tutorial also given. The homework for each chapter is due the following Sunday by 11:55pm. Once homework has been submitted for grading, the student cannot resubmit the homework to be graded again. Student s ability to allocate money is demonstrated throughout this course with the use of the financial functions of Excel such as loan analysis and monthly payments, future value of money analysis, amortization of loans, etc. These are based on the elements of principal, time and interest (PMT and FV function). C8: Uses Computer to Process Information Use of the computer to create and update electronic spreadsheets is the heart of this course. Every semester, calendar based weekly learning material (reading, hands exercises for inclass, web enhanced, or online assignments, and scheduled quiz/test/exam) will be posted as part of the syllabus.
