1 TOO EXPENSIVE: The Atlas Cyclops system is significantly higher priced than the Atlas (401 and 601) CCD alignment systems, but it is priced 10%-20% lower than other 3-D camera TOWER systems and includes a patented TowerFree camera/sensor system with IC3D technology. CAMERA TOWER SYSTEM TAKES UP TOO MUCH BAY SPACE: Hunter claims that their RX12XL scissor alignment lift will fit into a 22 foot 6 inch bay. Specifications from the most recent Hunter brochure identify the length of the Hunter RX12XL lift to be 22 feet 4 inches long. Yes, theoretically, this lift has an inch of clearance at the front and the rear, but that extra inch on both ends does not leave much room for any 3-D alignment system to be installed. (tongue in cheek). The bottom line is that the Hunter 3D tower alignment system when paired with any model of the Hunter 12,000 lb. scissor alignment lifts will NOT fit in a 25 foot bay and is actually not well suited for a 30 foot bay. There is NO TOWER (TowerFree ) needed with the Atlas Cyclops 3-D camera alignment system. The Atlas 3-D camera system (does not require a fixed tower) is easily installed on the alignment lift runways so the size of the bay space needed is determined by the length of the lift (or vehicle on the lift). No more loss of valuable bay space at the front of your alignment lift. The Atlas Cyclops 3-D system with our Atlas 12ASL 12,000 scissor lift can easily be installed in a 25 foot bay with space at the front and the back of the lift. 2 "ADJUSTABLE UP AND DOWN" SO THAT CAMERA HEIGHT CAN BE MATCHED WITH LIFT HEIGHT. The Atlas Cyclops camera system base is mounted onto the outside runways of the alignment lift. The "alignment lift" may be a four post lift, a scissor lift, a parallelogram lift, or "the floor". The cameras will always be at the correct height to "read" the sensors because the cameras will be raised and lowered with the alignment lift. BTW: the "alignment lift" does not need to be an "expensive (all the bells and whistles) alignment rack". The Atlas Cyclops 3-D system automatically evaluates the "level condition" of any platform rack (or floor) and makes the necessary out of level compensations (instantly). OPERATOR MUST ROLL THE HEAVY VEHICLE BACK AND FORTH ON ALIGNMENT LIFT FOR CAMERAS TO "RECOGNIZE" SENSOR'S 3-D IMAGE: The Atlas Cyclops 3-D alignment system does not require the customer to roll the vehicle back and forth or raise the vehicle for camera/target sensor communication. The Atlas IC3D software camera technology coupled with special 3D sensors eliminates the need of "moving the vehicle". It is strenuous (and dangerous) work to roll a heavy vehicle back and forth on an elevated alignment rack. Alignment experts agree that a vehicle is best aligned when all suspension components are "at rest". If a vehicle is rolled or raised, the suspension MUST be given some time to return to a "normal" position. Would you buy a big screen TV with no wireless remote knowing that you had to get up each time you wanted to change the channels? NO...you would not! Why would you want to buy a $30, D alignment machine (NOT INCLUDING THE PRICE OF THE ALIGNMENT RACK!) that required you (and three men and a small boy) to roll a Suburban or Expedition back and forth on an alignment rack and then need to walk to the console to change screens. CAMERAS DO NOT ALWAYS RECOGNIZE THE 3-D IMAGE ON THE ROLLBACK: Many times the operator must roll the vehicle back and forth several times for the tower based cameras to "communicate" with the wheel mounted target sensors. This is a time consuming process and also involves extra work for the alignment technician. The technician must be very careful not to "block the sight line" between the cameras and the sensors. Even when the "rollback process" is performed "perfectly", the operator must still "hold" the vehicle for a period of time to allow the camera and the sensors to communicate. The Atlas 3-D Cyclops alignment system is configured to allow the cameras and wheel mounted sensors to communicate immediately with the portable console to display instant alignment measurements. The alignment technician now begins the caster sweep procedure without "walking to the console". There is no time lost between obtaining the measurements and beginning the alignment process. MUST BUY AN EXTRA LONG ALIGNMENT LIFT TO ACCOMMODATE LONGER VEHICLES THAT NEED TO BE "ROLLED". EXTRA LONG VEHICLES THAT DO NOT FIT ON ALIGNMENT RACK CANNOT BE ALIGNED.

3 The Atlas 3-D alignment system does not require a vehicle to be moved (either up and down or back and forth) on an alignment rack. If you have been performing the required "rollback procedure" on your current Tower 3-D Camera alignment system, then you understand the need to have an alignment rack that is about 24 inches longer than the longest wheelbase vehicle you want to align. You need to make sure the vehicle does not roll off the back of the rack and can be rolled the required distance for the TOWER cameras to obtain the necessary 3-D target sensor position information. The Atlas 3-D alignment system has the ability to align vehicles (on the floor) with up to a 192 inch wheel base. TOWER IS NOT PORTABLE, SO ONLY THE BAY WITH THE CAMERA TOWER CAN BE USED FOR ALIGNMENTS: The Atlas 3-D camera alignment system can be "moved" from the primary "alignment bay" to other service bays in your shop. The cameras (weigh 13 1/2 lbs. each) can be easily installed on any alignment runway lift in your shop. Atlas camera mounting brackets can be easily installed on any lift runway and the removal and installation of the Atlas 3-D camera system from one lift to another takes about 1 minute. The computer console can be rolled from one bay to another and positioned anywhere for easy operator viewing. The 3-D camera system can be battery powered (battery power lasts about 8 hours) so there are no wires to worry about. A 110 volt powered 3-D camera system is also available. The portable 3-D Camera system can also be placed on the (relatively level) floor if no lift is available to accommodate longer wheel base vehicles that may not â œfitâ on your existing alignment rack. FLASHING RED LIGHTS ARE ANNOYING: The Atlas Cyclops 3-D camera system has NO FLASHING LIGHTS! COLUMNS ON FOUR POST LIFTS INTERFERE WITH CAMERA AND SENSOR COMMUNICATION: The Atlas 3-D camera system is positioned between the front and rear sensors so there is no possible lift post obstruction between the cameras and the sensors. OPERATOR MUST WALK FROM VEHICLE TO COMPUTER KEYBOARD OR MOUSE TO ACCESS COMPUTER INFORMATION: The Atlas 3-D alignment system camera base allows the operator to (wirelessly) communicate with the computer console. Color coded keys on the camera base mount are used to (wirelessly) communicate with the computer console. There is no need for the operator to walk from the vehicle to the computer console to change screen data displays or print information. The console can be rolled to any location in the bay or even to an adjoining bay. If you prefer to have the console in front or in back or on either side of the vehicle, the Atlas 3-D system works flawlessly with any console location.

4 The (OLD SCHOOL) Tower 3-D cameras utilize wheel mounted sensor targets that are flat or one (1) dimensional. This OLD TOWER 3-D camera alignment system needs two cameras along with the forward and backward movement (rolling the vehicle back and forth on the lift) of the wheel mounted flat target sensor to "triangulate" the target sensor's position in space. The Atlas Cyclops (single camera system) uses a (patented) three (3) dimensional sensor target (not flat) that allows a FIXED single camera to establish a triangulated sensor position without moving the vehicle. This is IC3D technology! All 3-D camera alignment systems require that sensor targets are "hung/attached" to the wheel by means of a clamping system. The sensor target is (theoretically) designed to correspond to the face of the rim when attached to the wheel clamp. The alignment software calculates the "inclination and position" of the wheel based upon the 3-D measurement information delivered to the camera from the mounted target sensor. The Atlas 3-D system provides 3-D measurement WITHOUT rolling the vehicle. Old School 3-D camera alignment systems must roll the vehicle (target sensors) to provide the cameras with 3-D measurement information. Actually...pretty easy to understand...even for a non-engineer. However, we have explained further (see below) and provided a picture for all of you who really need a more complicated answer. (engineers) In order for the Old School Tower 3-D camera system to acquire accurate "3-D measurements" the vehicle (with target sensors attached) must be rolled forward and backward because the Old School 3-D sensors are only ONE (1) dimensional. These ONE (1) dimensional sensors only provide the 3-D "triangulated information" to the fixed Tower mounted cameras when the vehicle is rolled forward and backward. The TowerFree Atlas Cyclops 3-D alignment system uses patented target sensors that incorporate actual 3-D properties which do not require movement to provide a 3-D image to the single camera. These 3-D target sensors are attached to the wheels with specially designed 3-point clamps that do not require a lateral run out procedure to be performed. (Do not need to raise the vehicle and rotate the wheels) Each Atlas 3-D target sensor has different size spheres embedded throughout the body of the sensor. Atlas 3-D sensors are slightly thicker than the ONE (1) Dimensional target sensors used by other systems. The embedded sphere size and positions are very similar to the holographic image below.

5 Since the size of the spheres varies and their relative position to each other is random, this embedded 3-D image target allows the single camera to "see" and acquire enough information from a fixed sensor to calculate the triangulated sensor position and inclination measurements using a single camera and IC3D software. FOUR POINT CLAMP SYSTEM TAKES TOO LONG TO INSTALL; ESPECIALLY ON CUSTOM WHEELS. The 3-point Atlas FastClamp can be attached to most factory or custom wheels in a matter of seconds. It delivers the same measurement accuracy as the "more difficult to install" 4-point traditional wheel clamp system. Obtaining accurate vehicle alignment measurements in the shortest amount of time is the ultimate goal of any alignment system. MUST BUY ALL ACCESSORIES FROM MANUFACTURER. ALL PRINTERS, COMPUTERS AND MONITORS ARE PROPRIETARY. The Atlas alignment systems use non-proprietary computer products. If you need a new computer, printer, monitor, or connection cables...they are available locally from any number of computer retailers. Dell, HP, and just about any other brand of computer hardware can be used with any Atlas alignment system. SERVICE CALLS ARE VERY EXPENSIVE AND THE DOWN TIME IS LOST PROFIT FOR OUR COMPANY.

6 Atlas alignment equipment is extremely easy to use and can be serviced by the customer. Many service issues can be diagnosed and resolved either over the phone or over the Internet. Atlas alignment equipment incorporates a "plug and play" repair philosophy. Our technicians can diagnose 99% of all issues either by talking to the alignment tech over the phone or allowing us "inside your alignment computer" via an Internet connection. There is no need to wait for a service representative (in a little white van) to visit your location and diagnose small issues and charging you hundreds of dollars for "their expertise". We stock the repair parts and accessory items for all our Atlas alignment equipment...and our service philosophy is that "if you can change a headlight in a Chevy Caprice, you can fix/repair any piece of Atlas automotive equipment". When it comes time to update the vehicle data measurements, you can connect your computer to the Internet and let the updated information download into your computer. There may be additional charges for the updated vehicle specification software, but you will not be charged for a service call!
