4 TESSTR Manual Probe Heads The TESSTR probing system line represents the latest evolution in probing technology for coordinate measuring. It is a broad array of standard equipment precisely designed and built to achieve fast and accurate measurement. TESSTR Probe Head rticulated probe head which can be manually rotated to an infinite number of non repeatable angular positions. The built-in compact touch-trigger probe features a user adjustable trigger force. It uses a threaded connection which allows to mount touch trigger probes/extensions with thread. 6 TESSTR Indexable Motorized Probe Heads TESSTR-m TKJ Probe Head The TESSTR-m is a motorized indexing probe head featuring high speed rotation and high torque. This probe head features a TESSTR Kinematic Joint (TKJ) which is a multiwire connection allowing the support of multiple types of sensors. The TKJ can be changed manually or automatically with the TESSTR-r probe changer without the need for requalification. TESSTR-m is available in 2 different versions with a 5 indexing increment and axis offset capable of 3,024 positions or industry standard 7.5 indexing increment capable of 720 positions. 19 SP-X1s, SP-X1m SP-X1s, SP-X1m Probe Heads SP-X1 is a high accuracy 3 scanning probe head that can rapidly and automatically collect thousands of data points for the complete and precise evaluation of all part features, including form, location and size. This sensor uses the same technology as the other probe heads of the SP series (X3-X5). It supports both Single Point Probing and Continuous Scanning. lso available is the Self-Centering mode, which is particularly useful for measuring gears. SP-X1 is available in two different versions: SP-X1s and SP-X1m, each characterized by different styli length. The TESSTR Kinematic Joint allows changing the probe head on the TESSTR-r automatic probe changer. 21 SP-X1c SP-X1c Probe Head SP-X1c is the fixed version from the SP-X1 family, directly mounted into the quill, it can cary star and cranked stylus and is especially addressed to the inspection of small precision parts like gears. Probe extensions up to 115 mm length in vertical orientation and 50 mm in horizontal orientation are possible. Its small outer diameter allows measurements deep inside a work piece. The SP-X1c supports all standard probing modes like Single Point Probing, Self-Centering as well as Continuous High-Speed-Scanning for fast and accurate form and profile measurements. The SP-X1c provides simultaneous and unclamped probing in all axes, always orthogonal to the contact surface. 23 CMM-Ve CMM-Ve Sensor CMM-Ve cameras are designed to be a general purpose image analysis tool for enhancing the measurement capabilities of a CMM. It provides oblique overhead illumination of the feature being inspected. CMM-Ve cameras are very versatile and have many potential applications for the CMM user. ue to their general-purpose nature CMM-Ve cameras are provided with a fixed magnification and are intended for taking data points in a static condition. The CMM-Ve contains a customisable illumination system, which makes it a self contained measuring system, suitable for a wide range of applications. The CMM-Ve is compatible with the automatic probe changer TESSTR-r. This system allows the CMM to change the sensor being used, enabling the CMM-Ve to be integrated within multiple sensor part programs, and allows sensor exchanging without the need for any operator intervention.
